A Lazy White Wednesday

Lazy on several levels...
One, because I've spent the past 24 or so hours in bed, nursing both a broken toe and an unexpected bout of nausea/acid reflux.

Secondly, because it's a bit of an overcast and gloomy day here in the Texas Hill Country.

And thirdly, because I'm (I think understandably!) feeling lazy myself!
So, for all you white aficionados, here's a collection of some of what takes up residence in my inspiration file...

I have a real thing for exposed brick!

A French cupboard and cowboy boots...perfect!

Well, back to bed for me!
Hope you've been at least a little inspired...my original plan for White Wednesday was this...

My white pain pills artfully arranged on a silver tray!
Nope, it takes more than the flu, a broken toe and a sneaky stomach virus to quell my macabre streak.

Hurry on over to Kathleen at Faded Charm for the White Wednesday roll call, but don't break your toe getting there!!!

I am convinced broken toes are the most painful things ever in the whole world. I broke mine in August and it is just now feeling 100%.

LOVE exposed brick and kick myself that we didn't do any when we built. Maybe next time. The shabby chic paired with the cowboy boots are classic.

SHUT UP! You broke your toe????? HOW?? I miss everything lately!!

I broke mine last year and yep -- its no fun. But honey, I was back in my heels within a month, girlfriend! I went for a week walking around on it before I even went to the doc -- who confirmed via showing me the xrays that I had broken it. Thick headed!

You DESERVE this day in bed!! Videos, candy, coffee, cookies.... all should be brought to you on that silver tray! And if I lived nearby, I'd bring them for you!! :)

Take care!!

I could spend a month in that first bed picture. I hope your toe finds its way into something like that. With delivery.

Well Anne, I hope you feel better soon! We can't have you down and out. Perhaps you should wear those cowboy boots as soon as your toe gets better for protection:) Hugs and well wishes for a speedy recovery!

Sweet Anne-
A broken toe?! I'm so sorry to hear you're in pain and under the weather. Glad to hear you're "under the blankets", though. Wish I were closer to bring a nice cup of hot chocolate and a scone to you to help you feel better!
Take it easy and concentrate on healing. We'll be here waiting for your return.

Yikes.. girl I'd rather tough it out then take those babies. Oopsy, did I just shoot from my hip without thinking? Sorry sweetie.. my heart is with you and I do so feel your pain so keep the toe raised high.. if you can soak in some epson salt.. do so, it helps and heals much quicker (or mine did).

Sending some love on the wind..

Olivia

You are too funny. Broken toe and all. I broke my toe (are you hearing a million broken toe stories now?) while walking in my front door. Never a good story with broken toes - just something everyday. Slammed it right in the threshold. I've delivered 3 kids and I will bet good money the toe experience was worse...probably had something to do with the epidural. Anywa, love that bathroom photo - putting that in my mental file. Thanks and feel better soon.
