Fiona & Twig Features: CRESCENDOh

Do you know CRESCENDOh?

If the answer is no, well, you need an introduction, trust me.

It is the brainchild of Jenny Doh, who has served as Editor-in-Chief for some of our favorite publications...
Somerset Studio,
Artful Blogging,
apron.ology,
Marie,
Greencraft, and many, many more.

She also co-authored with Jo Packham the incredible book

As if all that isn't enough, Jenny is also an artist, writer, photographer, rubber stamp designer, in-demand speaker, blogger, and now?

Now she is the driving creative force behind
CRESCENDOh
and the driving force behind Jenny is the overwhelming conviction that

ART SAVES

From the CRESCENDOh Blog:

CRESCENDOh actualizes its mission and values by creating an online presence where:
  • Like-minded creatives gather to shine light on the best projects and ideas from the online world. In doing so, CRESCENDOh builds an organic, home-grown development of increased visits to CRESCENDOh, resulting in a mutual home-grown development of increased visits to its linked sites.
  • In addition to the links to projects and ideas, CRESCENDOh helps tell unique and heartfelt ART SAVES stories from successful artists who serve as Guest Curators throughout the year. Through these stories, an organic and home-grown development of organizations born out of the stories grow. Reader-submitted stories about ART SAVES are also collected and shared, to help the CRESCENDOh community learn about the global power of art.
  • The concept ART SAVES is carried out further through exclusive ART SAVES merchandise sold in the shop. These items are created with original work by artists, and 100 percent of proceeds go to CRESCENDOh's charities of choice.

My fabulous friend Diane of Rosa & Josie's is the guest curator on CRESCENDOh this week, so I urge all of you to pop on over and read her amazing story of how Art Saved her.

Feast your eyes on some of Diane's gorgeous creations...

To see more, please pay Diane a visit
HERE
and
pop on over to
CRESCENDOh
to see all the talented artists being featured this week.

***  and big news! ***

I don't know why or how, but Diane tells me that she's actually going to be including
ME
in her artist links tomorrow!!!

I always struggle with calling myself an artist, as I'm more of a writer and now photographer than someone who can create beautiful objects with my hands....but those non-tactile talents still count as art...right?

Thank you Diane, and have a wonderful Tuesday!

Thank you Anne for sharing crescendoh.com with your followers. It is indeed a wonderful community of like minded souls, sharing things like good books, recipes, favorite art tips and beautiful blogs (such as yours), who have great stories to tell.
It isn't a surprise at all that I will be linking you tomorrow. I am just surprised no one has done it before me!

Congratulations on your guest feature! :) And yes, art is all things created by you - whether it's written, photographed, photoshopped or even set up in your booth, staged to sell. You, my dear, are an artist. It's okay to call yourself that. Promise!
Thanks for sharing!!

Anne, thanks for visiting! Your blog has the most beautiful pictures on it! And I love that you are from Texas. My Mom is a Texas gal and I have spent many a summer in Texas on vacation growing up. We still have lots of family there. Scattered around, but mostly in East Texas. The closest I have been to you is San Antonio. I bet your shop is amazing! You will appreciate this... one of my Mom's relatives sent her some bluebonnets this spring, since they know how much she loves them. Wasn't that sweet? I will enjoy visiting your blog. Your dogs are so beautiful! Love & blessings from NC!

Hi Anne, I don't know why you would ever think you are "constipated" when it comes to artful blogging. You always have such wonderful things to share. I love Crescendoh and visiting Jenny's blog. She certainly seems like such a down to earth, creative and lovely woman. And Diane is definitely a very talented person. My cousin makes jewelry -- love it, just don't have the knack for it, but love to see (and wear) what others create. Your fur babies sure seemed to be cooperative with bath time. Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. Best wishes, Tammy

FANTASTIC stuff and I cannot wait for a quiet moment to visit them both. It's a crazy ride here at the moment as school winds down, so am not getting as much screen time as I'd like to visit you and others! Amazing how much positive energy you draw to yourself, sweet Anne. I'm looking forward to reading about you on this new blog!!! Your words and photos are definitely ART. Many cyber hugs to you, today! xx Suzanne

Jenny is an amazingly talented person. I don't think there is anything she cannot DO!! She did a book signing in my store a couple of weeks ago. She did a book signing in my store a couple of weeks ago, and it was wonderful to have her there. LOVE all the jewelry above!

Oops! Hey Anne. I think you got to my post today before I actually finished. At first I was gonna do a Wordless Wednesday but then realized I just can't not say something. :) But I accidentally hit a return in the wrong place which makes it post when you don't really want to. It's been one of those days and I'm pooped big time. Toodles (again). Tammy
