Helping Hands

So here's the thing...

We're likely going to be moving soon

and we could really use

yep.

a helping hand

or two.

You know what they say...

don't you?

All hands on deck!

Or somethin' like that.

But you know what?

I think we'll be just fine

with the help of all our.....get ready....wait for it.....wait....

handy  friends.

{grin}

Truthfully?

All I want from any of you dear people
is your good thoughts and prayers this next month.
No heavy lifting ( or helping hands ) required.

Money will be a bit tight and nerves will be frayed
as we begin the process of getting our house ready to sell.
I'm going to be working at the hospital LOTS more this next month,
so you might not see my happy, shiny face on your blog roll quite as often.

But never fear!

Once the property changes hands from them to us, I'll be back!

Happy and rested and all settled into our lovely new home!

'Til next time...

Psssst....

You still have time to enter my

Home at Last!

We're back from our week long vacation
up in lovely Portland, Oregon!
I had a wonderful time, but it's sooooo good to be home again.
As much fun as we had, there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed.
But a big shout out goes to my mother-in-law
who reads my blog every day...we could not have asked
for a more generous hostess (and host!) and the accommodations were top-notch.
We love you both!!!

I didn't take many pics at all (I know, not thinking like a blogger!),
and I must apologize for the ones I did take...most were snapped
with my iPhone or my cheap point-n-shoot. I left my fancy-pants DSLR at home.

Anyway, I thought you might like to see
the gorgeous blooms growing in my in-law's backyard...

I thought this last pic might be a tosser,
but I actually love the juxtaposition of the fresh with the faded.
Too bad I didn't have my good camera to properly capture it, grrrrrr!

And our dining room centerpiece one evening, fresh from the garden...

Wanna see the new wallpaper on my iPhone?

Taken with the phone at a Portland area supermarket!
I tell ya, beauty is everywhere up in this part of the country!

But I didn't just seek beauty among the blooms...
I also made the pilgrimage to what I believe
is the most gorgeous antique mall I've ever stepped foot in, Monticello Antiques.

I only snapped a few grainy phone pics, again, sorry!

Are you a blogger? Is this your space?
If so, let me know, I absolutely loved what was going on in this booth!

And this....

This amazing outdoor structure they had for sale in their garden room.
Surprisingly affordable, but how to get it home???

Mr. Twig on the left, trying to get the specs on it.
Aaargghh, figure it out honey!
MUST.HAVE.IT.

"Hey, I think I can make one of these!"

Sure hope so.
Oh, and I watermarked your butt, the blogging equivalent to branding.

{mischievous grin}

That's all for now.
Gotta go to the kennel and pick up the fur-babies.

Before I head out, I've gotta ask if I've you've entered my fabulous
Welcome Home Giveaway???

If not, then hurry up!
I'm giving away a $90 Shopping Spree, thanks to the fine folks at CSN Stores.

Giveaway ends this Friday, click HERE to enter.

I missed y'all, it's good to be back!

Overdue Thanks

I swear, I'm the most ungrateful blogger around!
Wait, strike that.
Make that the most overwhelmed blogger around!

Not to say that my life is any busier
or crazier than anyone elses,
just that I seem to be less equipped
to handle the madness these days.

I've acquired an embarrassment of riches from some
of my wonderful bloggy friends the past couple of months,
and so today I am FINALLY giving thanks where thanks are due!

First up, I was fortunate enough to win Angela's amazing
Mermaid's Dowry giveaway over at Filigree Moon...

I was lucky enough to meet the lovely Angela
in person this past weekend at Paper Cowgirl,
and she's just as sweet and lovely as she is talented!

Next up, the wonderful Patricia of Vintage Linen Treasures
sent me some pretties to say thank you for posting
about her giveaway! Just look what she sent me...

Next up, my photography inspiration Denise at My Vintage Gardens
sent me a big package of some of her beautiful images
on cardboard. Suitable for framing, really!

Loveliness!

Deb at Garage Sale Gal was thoughtful enough
to send me this darling vintage hanky as thanks for winning my book giveaway...

And my most recent win came just this week from Doni at Faith, Grace and Crafts...

Just look at all that loot to add to my mixed media/craftin' stash!!!
There was so much I couldn't even fit it all in the frame!

I'm off to help The Mr. do some grilling,
so I hope all of you are enjoying your Fourth,
and your independence. Don't ever forget or take that for granted.

Love to All,

Welcome.....

...to our new home!

Click here for the tour.

We made an offer, they countered,
we countered back, they accepted.
Bam, just like that. All in under 24 hours.
When it's right, it's right!

We close in August,
so we won't be moving for a little while.
Which is perfectly fine with me,
as we need to get our current home ready to sell, too!

I'm going to take a blogging break this weekend,
so I wish each and every one of you a very happy and safe Fourth of July!

Hugs Galore,

Booth News, House News

I haven't posted pics or given y'all an update on my booth space
in a coon's age, so I thought it was about time.

Since the big move to a primo downstairs space three months ago,
my sales have really taken off.
Better yet, a lot of the big pieces which had collected dust for MONTHS upstairs
are racing out the door these days.
Location, location, location!

Me and the Mister headed down to the booth today
with a few big pieces and here's the finished product...

I'm not loving it yet.
I still have sooooo much stuff I need to take down there, s
o much primping and foofing to do....it could seriously look so much better
if I only had the time. I have the stuff, just not the time!

And I have some news on the HOUSE I posted on yesterday!
It needs a name, so I'm calling it Transom Manor (hehehe!),
so named because of the AWESOME transom windows throughout the house.

Anyway....

~We put in an offer today!~
And when our realtor submitted it to the sellers agent,
she apparently smiled and said
"This is a really good offer!"

So, YAY!
This is looking like it's going to be our new home.
We shall see!

As I showed y'all yesterday, it's pretty much picture perfect
with the exception of needing a LOT of exterior painting. So I decided to play.

I went in and did some sloppy photoshopping
and gave the old girl a fresh coat of paint.
What do ya think?

Before:

 and After

Just a glimpse of what can will be.

In conclusion, I'd just like to thank every single person who drops by here,
reads my rambling thoughts and then takes the time to leave a comment.
I read each and every one of them,
and always do my absolute best to pay each of you a visit, too.
Sometimes it takes me a few days,
but I always do my best. It's not a chore, it's a privilege!

Love to all of you, and have a wonderful Friday!
