Introducing Gus Antiques & Wonders

It was back to work yesterday
as I happily headed to the enchanting
Gus Antiques & Wonders,
the latest imaginarium birthed by
Carol and Tim Bolton, and named for
their beloved and delightful daughter,
Augusta....Gussie....Gus!

Located right next door to
Gus is, to quote Carol,

"Fresh. Quaint. Felicitous.

The word is out:
We have a brand new store
set to open in the next few days.
Our new shop, GUS ANTIQUES, has a whimsical theme,
fresh outlook on life, and plenty of good finds.
We've searched high and low across America and Europe
for the perfect treasures to share with you,
and have put together a delightful trove of goodness.

GUS ANTIQUES is located right next to
CAROL HICKS BOLTON ANTIQUITES
at 303 S. Lincoln, Fredericksburg, TX. 78624.
 (830)997-5551, or email us
at carol@carolhicksbolton.com"

Here is only one small peek
at the commercial photo shoot I completed
yesterday for my dear friends the Bolton's.
I hope you approve, Gussie!

I'm smack-dab in the middle of editing
all of the images from the Gus shoot,
but will be sharing the rest very soon!

Enjoy your week!

I Love My Job!!! Introducing Ufer Haus!

To say that there are a plethora of choices
when contemplating a stay in Fredericksburg, TX
is an understatement at best.
At last count, it was something 300-400 B&Bs
and guest houses in the area. Whoa!

I'm here to make your choice a little easier.
Introducing Ufer Haus Guesthouse!

 Just way too cute!
I absolutely LOVE photographing
B&Bs, and living here in Fred
has me uniquely poised to do exactly what I love.
I have the best clients!

Mid-century coolness.

Loving all the modern-industrial
touches throughout.

Fully appointed kitchen.

Relax!
It's easy to do in these super cozy surroundings.

With three darling bedrooms,
it's a natural choice for girl's weekend getaways,
bachelorette parties, hunting weekends,
or a romantic visit to the winery mecca of Texas!

Adorable!

And this creek-side sitting area
just off the kitchen is just too lovely for words.

Ufer Haus will be open for visitors very soon,
be sure to head over to their Facebook page
and give them a well deserved "like"!

Happy Week!

Thank you, Creating Vintage Charm Magazine

I never take it for granted
when someone finds something
worthy in my work.

To be told
"Yes, we'd like to publish your
photography, your story",
well....
that's a huge compliment,
and I am so grateful for the times I've been
told just that.

This time, I owe a huge debt of gratitude
to the lovely Sonia Cardona Crouse of

Sonia allowed me to share not only my photography,
but also a little essay on what life in our
1910 Texas farmhouse means to me.

The elements in the image above...
the lavender sprigs, the ironstone, the wasp nest...
all deeply personal and their simplicity
speaks volume to my vintage loving heart.

Many thanks Sonia,
for not only featuring my work in CVC,
but also in the lastest issue of

You can order both of these
lovely publications right HERE.
