Inspired by displays and vignettes seen in Warrenton,
I headed down to the booth today to play.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating...click pics to enlarge!

Take a few willow branches...
Pages from an old book take the place of leaves...
Just branching out and trying something different!
Unrelated to that, have you shopgirls and booth owners
ever purchased something intended for the store,
only to fall in love with it yourself? (raising my hand!)

Meet the latest object of my affection...
Oh yeah...I can hear ya swooning from here.
I couldn't bear to take it to the booth, can ya blame me?
Have a great night and a terrific week!

It is so cute I would not be able to part with it. Love how your booth looks! Great job.
ReplyDeleteThat's the really great thing about being in this business -- you can adopt it for awhile (until you find something you love even more).
ReplyDeleteOf course I buy things for the shop & somehow...I'm not sure how {maybe there are little antique shop elves that take a piece to where it REALLY belongs} they find there way to my house! Your booth looks awesome & your new cabinet is amazing.
ReplyDeleteGuess what??? I'm planning on going to Warrenton & Round Top for the 1st time from sunny CA in September with Miss Diane Cook of rosa & josie's fame!!!! Do you see my smile, it's really big! I'm soooo excited!!

Sorry!
Great job with the curly willow, love the book pages! Your cabinet is a great "keeper", love all your white goodies inside!
ReplyDeletely,
Debra
Too funny! I am having my hubby paint a 6-drawer dresser. I picked it up for my booth but for now I am going to use it in the kitchen next to my desk to organize myself! When we have room at the booth I "plan" on moving it in to sell but I really needed something to contain the mess at home! We shall see if it every makes it out of the house! Shhhh don't tell Mr. Smith!
ReplyDeleteThe family and I went for a walk tonight to get some manzanita branches so I can use in the booth. I bought a cool looking urn at a garage sale this weekend that I want to use as a display! I was going to paint the branches white too! I never thought of hanging book pages! I was planning on hanging up men's collars and cuffs(saw that idea somewhere too)!
Thanks for sharing,
Jody
Love that cabinet!
Anne,
ReplyDeleteOh yeah baby, that will look sweet in your little farmhouse! Be on the lookout for something from me soon. Trying to get my sweet students some info!! Lisa
Gorgeous hutch! If you make your booth any nicer you're going to want to move in there!!

I love the cupboard, Anne! I call it "the perks of the job"~ we get first choice of everything!
ReplyDeleteGreat cabinet Anne !!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and to answer your question on what kind of branches I used for my hankie tree, I used birch that I sprayed lightly with off white spray paint.
Love your page tree. I may have to try that one next !!
Toodles,
Sandi
OMG pea green with envy for that hutch!!! I love the color and size of it! Do i ever buy something for my shop, but can't part with it???? hummmmmm lets look in my garage and see...hummmm.. yep just about everything there...I am sure its a disorder on my part...but I can totally understand you keeping this piece!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne,
ReplyDeleteLove the idea with the willow, with old papers on,---and your cupboard is wonderfull, and not something to find just every day, --you lucky girl. And you displayed the most sweet, and lovely items, inside.
Hugs,Dorthe
Love your creation, Anne! You are so talented and NO, I don't blame you for keeping that beauty. OH MY GOODNESS, gorgeous! Have a fun day my friend!
ReplyDeleteIt's okay to keep things...you are just adding to the the story of the piece.
ReplyDeleteCountry Blessings,
Cindy
Your willows with old pages are adorable. Your cabinet reminds me of the one my parents had. My brother still has it and my sister-in-law keeps her collection of teapots and cups in it. I love looking at yours. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI'd keep that too! And I like the "leaves" idea! Hmmm....I'm seeing other things possibly displayed on those branches too! Branches hung horizontally even! I think you're onto something!
ReplyDeleteDiane
Booth and Home envy from one post!! Have a fabulous day!!
ReplyDeleteShopgirls and booth owners became shopgirls and booth owners to keep goodieA at home until goodieB replaces goodieA, and then goodieA can go to the shop or booth to be sold so goodieC can be purchased... It's the new math. Brilliant. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the willow tree display.
HI Anne!
ReplyDeleteI love the cabinet! It would be great in my new bathroom....if ya ever get tired of it...you know where to find me!
It looks like the wheels are turning with great creative thoughts!
Keep it up...your space looks wonderful!
Have a wonderful day,
hugs,
donna
This question I refuse to answer. ROFLMBO!!! My house is full... that's all I have to say.

I don't blame you for not selling the cupboard! It's fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe cupboard is wonderful and I can see why you had to keep it. Your booth is so creative and I can see that you enjoy what you do, and you do it well.
ReplyDeleteHi Anne! Great seeing you Sunday! We are headed over to the estate sale to load up my remaining room of mystery. I love the branches, and the cabinet. My favorite thing is the house. It is a dream. I'm not familiar with prices in that area, but I'm sure they are pretty steep compared to my area. I'll send photos as soon as I get things sorted out. Soon...Susan
ReplyDeleteKeep it, enjoy it, move it on...keep the cycle going..isn't junking fun and so good for the enviroment...I like your tree idea..very clever indeed and a real eye catcher in your space.

Great cabinet and I would be tempted to keep it myself. I buy things all the time for my shop and then decide I can't part with it. I made a deal with Hubby...for everything that stays I will take something from our home to the shop. I live with something for a few months and then decide if I really love it.
ReplyDeleteLoving this idea with the brances and leaves. And I don't blame you one bit for keeping such a beauty. These guys are getting harder and harder to find so you might as well hang on to it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest ofyour week.
Kathleen
Hi Anne! I'd have a hard time letting go og that cabinet too, especially now that it looks so pretty all full of your special goodies! Love the pages on the branches, very cool. Happy WW, Theresa
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming cupboard! No wonder you wanted to keep it! ...and your booth looks delightful!
ReplyDeleteI have had many treasures I can't part with and yours is so great. Your cabinet is charming and a place that you can display your treasures. Great find.
ReplyDeleteHey Girlie, glad you joined the party, I really love those branches!
ReplyDeletelove ya, talk soon.
Debra
For me...there is a real romantic touch to it all.
ReplyDeleteI've been a domestic goddess this week ...making new SOUTHWEST CURTAIN TIE-BACKS Stop by for a visit and viewing if you can find time! Have a great weekend.
