Where The Wild Things Are

Okay, enough about little blue farmhouses!

I paid my best friend Tom a visit yesterday,
and he provided me with some wonderful photo op's!
He has several hummingbird feeders on his deck,
so I thought I'd attempt to take a pic of some of the zippy little fellas.
I didn't hold out hopes that my pics would be any good,
as I don't have a fancy SLR camera,
but I was pleasantly surprised with what I captured!

His little bird feet just crack me up in this one!

Moving over towards the fence,
Tom has a neighbor with a llama named Jacob.
We like to feed Jacob carrots, and Jacob humors us by eating them.
Here's Tom and Mr. J...

Heading inside the house, Tom recently adopted
a furry little gal named Wednesday.
She's next to impossible to photograph, as she is a perpetual motion machine.
I need to have Winnie give her lessons in posing, as the Winster has it down.
This was the best I could do of Wednesday the cat...

Speaking of Winnie, she is never one to miss a chance of a photo-op,
especially if it means she'll be all over da interwebs again!

Hi Winnie!

Finally, I went looking for Mr. Twig this evening,
as I hadn't seen him for a bit.
I went outside and saw this some 20 + yds from the casa...

"What are you doing?", I asked.
"Just being a pack." Mr. Twig replied.

Wishing you and your pack a Happy Wednesday!

  8. Anne, the photographs are great! No hummingbirds here, but we have two very cheeky robins in the garden. I love the photograph of your pack. We are exactly the same with our two dogs, we love lying together in a pack. It is quite humbling to have these two big powerful animals give you so much love.

  10. I love it!!! Daily life at the homestead. I had to laugh at Winnie in the plastic sack, why is it that cats love these? I have a hilarious story of one of my sweet past kitties running through the house, trapped in the bag, while peeing all the way. It was like a parachute on a race car. I still laugh when I think of it! Great birdie photos, yea, love the teeny tiny feet! Hope you're having a great day. I'm off to hunt for slipcover material...eek.
    love ya,
    Debra

I LOVE being a pack! It's such a wonderful thing. Do Mr. T or you ever smell dog paws? (Don't make that face! lol) We always giggle that dog paws smell like taco feet. How funny is that?!

The hummer photos are fabulous, girlfriend! You got great photos of them, and the llama is a sweet thing, too. Apparently, llamas are very accommodating.

Seems like a perfect day to me. Thanks for letting me tag along.

  19. Beautiful photos! I'll have to send you a photo of my favorite painting. It's of a dog from the nose up. It looks like he is looking through a window and must be standing on his tip toes to see over.

  40. Hi Anne, the photos in this post are fabulous. My girlfriend in San Antonio anticipates the return of Spring each year so that she can get her hummingbird feeder up and out. She bought a bigger and better one this year because she enjoys seeing the hummers so much. I tried last summer to get pics of some in NC but it wasn't to be. They were just way too fast for my digital. I love the blue farmhouse! What a wonderful place. Keeping you in prayer, Tammy
