Any who among us doesn't, right?
Sometimes the photos come right out the camera looking just divine
And sometimes they don't.
Sorry, Winnie.
So for those times when you could use a little sumpin' sumpin'
to spruce up those images, there's Photoshop!
But, as many of you well know, Photoshop can be a booger to learn.
I'm still struggling with it!
Hometown Girl to the rescue!
My sweet new friend Susan of the fabulous blog Hometown Girl
is having a wonderfully generous giveaway,
and she's offering one lucky reader this essential book on creating Photoshop art...
I've heard great things about this book,

ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great weekend =))
thanks for the heads up about the book! It will definitely go on my "must get" list - I am such a newbie at taking pictures (yours are lovely, by the way!)
ReplyDeleteSue
I just keep snapping until it looks 'OK' to me! Maybe I should learn Photoshop!
ReplyDeleteOh, I can always use help with my pictures! I really need a new camera, can you find someone giving one of those away, can you... huh, please? Hehe! In answer to your question about me being a nightowl. I am the most "NOT a nightowl of anyone ever:) I go to bed at 10PM and up at 5:15AM almost every day. I schedule my posts at night for the next morning. It works for me:) Have a blessed evening my friend! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteSince I just got my very first computer in January, photoshop might be a ways off. I do enjoy iphoto built into my computer and use that for all my piccies....I find that if I shoot enough shots, a couple will turn out great and the rest not so much...I love the digital camera now as its so easy to get rid of the junk...Photoshop is in my future, that is certain...I may have to wait till I sort a few other computer things first...By the way, why did you choose your camera...was there something about it that is special...Why that one and not something else...Just curious as I'm already ready to get another camera...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. Love the kitty!
ReplyDeleteAnne, thank for the tip! Your photos are lovely, by the way. ~ Angela

It is fun to play around with photos in Photoshop.

Gorgeous photos, Anne! I have Photoshop, but I'm totally intimidated by it! Just use it for minimal photo fixing....what a chicken, right?! I'll have to check out that book!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a wonderful weekend, my friend!
I will totally let her know! Photoshop is a pain in my butt. I am lazy and use mostly "actions" from Pioneer Woman, she has great tutorials too. There is some other technique, the name is escaping me where you can download these things from Flickr... but I can not figure it out. I have all these ideas for photos in my head, so much to express, but I am stiffled by my limited ability with Photoshop. My problem is I have no time to learn!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne
ReplyDeleteI would love to learn but no time! So you all will have to put up with my snap and shoot and picasa... such as it is! Maybe next year :)
Love your photo's!
Blessings
Rebecca
I would love to learn how to use Photoshop. Actually, I need to purchase this program first. *blush* I might be the only blogger who doesn't have it Photoshop. LOL I'd like to thank for stopping by my blog and leaving such a sweet comment. I love love your blog. Have a great Monday.

Hi Anne,
ReplyDeleteI can see you are loving your new camera and what beautiful photos you have taken.
I love the sepia aged one and Winnie, wanting to be in the picture!
I have photoshop, but this dummy needs to know how to work it. The kids do things for me, but I do need to work it out for myself.
Have a beautiful week
Hugs
Carolyn
Hello Anne~I've just strolled in for my first visit. Your blog is so beautfully inviting. I've enjoyed taking a peek at your past posts. You've got so many wonderful treasures. We share similar tastes for the same design elements.
ReplyDeleteI find so much inspiration from my fellow bloggers, especialyy from the gorgeous phtography.
When I first started blogging (not very long ago) I didn't know how to operate all the buttons on my camera. It seemed like a foriegn language to me.
I'm slowly learning the process. I think the key is to capture what appeals to you and it will come across through your lens.
I've enjoyed my visit to your charming blog.
Stroll by for a visit, your company would be nice.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
