Weekend Plans

The weekend!

We're almost there, and with it comes
sunshine, grilling, junking and just plain relaxing!

For me?
A combination of all of the above,
as well as starting to get ready for
my next adventure...

Paper Cowgirl Altered Art Retreat

That's right, this non-paper-crafty gal is going to a three day retreat
surrounded by nothing but paper-crafty gals!

Am I going to embarrass myself with my third-grader crafting skills?
( no offense to third graders )
More than likely!
But I don't care, I'm just gonna go with the intention of having FUN!

Just need to get my supplies together, hit up the crafting and scrapbooking shops
to actually purchase said supplies, maybe practice some basic techniques
to get up to speed with the rest of the gals abilities, and then....

PARTY TIME!

But for now?
The checkbook is crying out to be balanced,
and the bed is showing no signs of making itself, so off I go.

And for you?
What's on your plate this weekend?

Oh! One mo' thing!
Have you entered my
CSN Stores Summer Giveaway yet?

Did you say balance the checkbook? I don't think I've done that since 1990. LOL, looking back that may account for a lot! I am SO excited for PC, I'm glad you came back off the ledge, I was worried you'd back out! LOL We are going to have some good fun. I think I forgot to register for your giveaway, I'm going to check that out now. Lisa

Thanks for visiting---and yes, the big fountain is still at NorthPark Mall---the stores may have changed and everything's gotten a facelift, but the fountain area is still a great place to sit, rest your feet, and people-watch! Have fun getting ready for the art retreat! As for our weekend, we just got back from a sweet, rustic, outdoor wedding out in the country! it was fun! Patti

  58. Hi there! Hope your wkend was a great one! Your macro flower photography is spot on.. fab! :)) I used to do the scrappin' thing years ago.. but, I ended up just shopping for paper & embellishments & never actually got any scrapbooking done.. hence it was a good decision for me to quit that.. I'm still addicted to pretty paper, punches, yada, yada.. but like to use them for different purposes. ;)) Hope you had fun & I'm sure you are wayyy better than a
    third grader! lara x

  59. Hi Anne!

I'm going to Paper Cowgirl too! Can't wait to meet you!

I don't do scrapbookin' in a traditional sense (I've made the odd page or two for gifts)but I do like to use paper in many of my artworks. I love your blog and have it on my blog's Inspiration List at http://calsidyrose-elranchonotsogrande.blogspot.com/

See you in a couple weeks!
