This is the first time I have been here. I have seen your name on the blog rolls of many new friends and thought, "Oh, that is too fancy for me" ! Well, you had me when you confessed that you had used a disposable camera before you started your blog. I have just been learning how to use my "point and shoot" and feeling a little more accomplished these days but don't know when I will ever move up to the big one!
I love your new house. I tend to be intimidated by home decorating (though really, I think our house is pretty lovely) but I love going step by step through it and seeing how you had learned from the "masters."
I also have a wonderful husband who loves to antique and find unusual pieces (we have Irene, South Dakota's post office box as our wine rack, thanks to him). I also have an adult daughter, Kat, who is back living with us to go to grad school and has the best collection of vintage clothing. She has done a lot of finding herself and has a degree in drama (with emphasis in film studies and costuming) and did a year at FIDM, fashion school in LA. Now she is getting an MSW ad will do Art and various other expressive therapies with children and teens.
Kat and I have only been around for about five or six months but we love having a blog. My daughter surprised me with it one day, all set up and ready to go. The wonderful Susie made us a banner that we really enjoy but we still have work to do. My daughter gave me Photoshop Elements for my birthday and I am working on that.
I woke up very early (we are leaving for Prague and Croatia next Sunday for our Exchange Student son's wedding and I hope to turn back my clock an hour each night. Today I woke up at 4:30. Hooray! I got the computer out and I have been here almost an hour and a half. I really enjoy your blog (and have said many times before...I want to be a Paper Cowgirl.)
It was so good to know the Fiona is just "Anne" and Twig is your husband (I could have called mine that when we were first married!)
Kat and I do repurposed jewelry but she also has the best collection of vintage clothes, that she can fit into because she is skinny! I love paper crafts and will go to Silver Bella for the second time this year, so I know some of the women in your pictures. That's so much fun to see in this "small world."
I have a great collection of vintage papers, largely foreign texts and children's primers. The make great backgrounds for art. I love having a second area I enjoy doing. We have a bead room and have been beading for fifteen years together but doing the vintage things for only about five or six (though we have collected longer).
We live in the Midwest but I still want to be a Paper Cowgirl!
Truly loved your blog. Stop by ours if you wish. Remember we are new at this (especially me!). The address is...

Also have an Etsy store that you can link to.

Whoooo Hoooooo! I'm so happy for you that I am doing the Happy Dance! I've got my little noise makers and lots of confetti, and even made a chocolate cake for you (which is already almost gone).
Awwwww sweet relief. SOOOOOO happy for you girlie. Nothing like that first night in your new home. May God bless you with many precious memories there.

Nevermind that, that was stupid, I bet if you are anything like me, you can't even sleep at night on account of all the ideas smokin' out of your ears!
Thank you so much for your comment - wise beyond my years? That gave ME a good laugh but it's always so nice to get such great feedback when you really decide to let everyone REALLY know what's going on it your brain... I hold my breath, close my eyes and hit "publish" every time! I have so many ideas I'd love to share that could bring the laughs or ruffle the feathers but have the creative side too... trying to stay true to "moi" and keep both kinds of readers happy!
