a busy saturday....
packing
moving
*sweating*....
wishing i were about
180 miles away
at the antique shows
in warrenton
feeling sorry for myself.
*sigh*
when i decided to pick up my camera
and do a little photo shoot with the hydrangeas
my husband got me last week.
opened up photoshop
and began to create
{ a sure balm for the artistic soul }
i may not be at the big show this weekend,
but i am nonetheless
surrounded by beauty.
i choose happiness!
hope your weekend is filled with
unparalleled beauty.
Your hydrangeas are beautiful! Staying home this time is sure to make you appreciate it all the more the next time you are able to go. I too hope to be able to visit a show like that one day, but they are so far away..
ReplyDeletei hope your move is going well. gorgeous image anne. and the quote is lovely too.
ReplyDeleteKnowing who that quote came from puts everything into perspective! And what a wonderful husband who brings you flowers. Yes, it is a happy day.

I'd love to be there too. But, you have to live in the moment, right? Think of how much you are accomplishing. Love the photo. It is truly beautiful.

ReplyDeleteGod bless you, sweet lady.
The picture is beautiful as is the quote! I have spent half the weekend with my best friend doing the things we love to do! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYour photo is lovely and so is the quote. Anne Frank was wise beyond her years...we can all learn something from her.
ReplyDeleteHave a good evening, Anne.
XO,
Jane
Even though I haven't commented for a while, I have been praying for you, Anne, knowing you've been going through trials and have come through stronger. And I think it is a kick that even as you are packing and moving, the photo bug in you took the time to take this beautiful photo of these sweet hydrangeas from Mr. Twig!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you are missing Warrenton, but I am glad you chose to be happy. Choosing happiness may not be easy, but it is very brave. (Sounds like something Winnie the Pooh would say.) The quote from Anne Frank is a blessing to remind us all, and if you make this photo with the quote into a poster to sell, let me know! I am always blessed by your photography!
Loves,
Laurie
Anne, I always loved to move. I am hoping you are enjoying your move. How exciting to be moving. Hope your weekend is a great one!

You are wise...happiness is a choice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...the photo and the quote. I hope your move is going okay.

Love not only the photo, but really love the quote. Change is a part of life, not always easy, but we go through stuff for reasons we don't always see at the time. I hope you move goes smoothly and you find great happiness in your new home!
ReplyDeleteTake care, Sue
good gravy...did you know that Anne Frank was one of the biggest influences in my life? after I read her diary, and then saw the b&w film of her life it changed my perspective on people forever - completely -
ReplyDeletethat is just beautifully put on your photo Anne.
xo+blessings,
Anne Marie
Very beautifully said!
ReplyDeleteI have been participating in a blog where each Friday I submit a photo of the sky. This Friday it was all overcast and gloomy YET AGAIN. I went out with my camera and searched for what I thought would be the "prettiest" way to present the darkness. I was somewhat pleased with my photo and post. Then I got a comment that said the sky was beautiful...... I looked closer...... It was!
I just had to choose to see it that way.
Now if I can just learn to apply that to other things in my life besides my photos.........
Thanks!
Dear sweet Anne, we are all the same you know....I go through those same dark times, it's hard to communicate with others when it happens to me ~ I may post but am not very good at commenting on blogs. You have a big task to complete and I'm sure it weighs heavy on you. Thank you so much for your sweet words about my Clara ~ we are so in love with her!!!!! I wish we were BOTH at Warrenton together...you could show me around girl!!! I hope you get things situated quickly so you can rest ~ hugs and love, Dawn
ReplyDeleteSweet post, Anne. ~ Sarah
