In every life, there are
places
places of joy and of happiness and peace
places where one can go to escape, to rest, to pray....to dream
places of plenty
and places of
grace
mine is found in a lovely old
Gothic church in my new hometown.
It's a place where I feel a peace and a stillness,
where my heart and spirit can escape this world and contemplate the next.
Where is your place?
Have a blessed second Sunday of Lent!
LOVE that!;) Hugs,Rachel

ReplyDeleteI love sitting outside soaking life in on beautiful Spring and Summer days! Great post girly, hope you are doing well! Hugs, Janna
ReplyDeleteHi Anne,
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say that my place of peace, isn't really a place at all, but is wherever my sweet family is at any given time. Whenever Dale, Landon and I are sitting home in the evening together...now that is my peace.
sending big hugs your way...
Blessings to you too Anne.

ANNE, I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES WHEN I SAW YOUR PLENTY AND GRACE PLAQUE! IT WAS CAST AND PAINTED BY ME SEVERAL YEARS AGO. THE ORIGINAL PLAQUE WAS PURCHASED IN ENGLAND ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO, TUCKED INTO MY SUITCASE, AND WHEN I GOT HOME I MADE A MOLD OF IT AND SOLD DOZENS OF THEM WHEN I DID ANTIQUE FAIRS. MOST WERE SOLD TO WOMEN WHO WANTED TO GIVE THEM AS GIFTS. HMMM, I WONDER IF I STILL HAVE THAT MOLD?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I forgot I had the all caps button on!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Anne! I find peace sitting by the fire, with my sweet puppy on my lap. Does it every time! Take care, Riki

I LOVE to sit out by my pool when the weather is warm in my old rocking chair. I put on my headphones, plug them into my ipod, and somehow it brings me a little calm & comfort in my crazy life. Wishing you much peace. In this world of ours, we all need it, a lot!
ReplyDeleteTake care my friend, Sue
Hope you are better in spirits! I have two places where I go and refresh my spirit and marvel at the wonders of God. One is in my garden. I sit at my bistro table with a cup of tea, soak up the sun and enjoy my garden and the birds sing. The other is Lake Erie. I go to the beach when my soul is craving a connection with God. The huge expanse of water and listening to waves roll up on shore, never ceases to calm my spirit.
ReplyDeleteHi sweetheart Anne,

Anne, your blog is as beautiful as ever, so glad I stopped by today.
ReplyDeletewell hmmmm it's with my windows open on a warm spring day. listening to the waves lap a beach. taking in a vista of mountains or hills of green. it's a worship song that moves me to tears...it's many many things. love your little plaque. glad you are feeling it friend.
ReplyDeleteDon't tell anyone, but my "place" is sitting in the tub, talking to God just as He brought me into the world.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Deb
I am so glad you have found a special place which soothes you and brings you peace. Our cottage in France does that for me, sitting under the trees and looking down on the valley and god's creations around me, is incredibly peaceful.
