All over Facebook,
my friends are posting about what
a gorgeous day it is in their neck of the woods.
Same here!
Here's the view from my front yard...
My front porch.
The entire exterior of the house is due to be re-painted
this Summer, with the gingerboard trim restored
to its former glory. I can't wait!
How is your beautiful Saturday shaping up
out there in blogland? :-)
Beautiful day in Louisiana too.
ReplyDeleteI left yoga today and the teacher said "today is a gift", a man said, "everyday is a gift"..she giggled and said she was talking about the weather....lol.
Enjoy it sweetie.
Gorgeous Anne!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit cloudy here in So Cal today and rain is on its way for tomorrow, but I'm so happy that other states are finally enjoying such beautiful weather for Spring!!~

Yep, pretty here too, I cleaned off the deck; the view from my kitchen window, just need some flowers now. And btw, that gorgeous shrub looks like Spirea, does it smell heavenly?

Love the pic, Anne. It's a bit overcast where I am, but I'll take it. It's not too cool, not too hot, and I'm getting a lot done.
ReplyDeleteI always loved watching American films where they had a swing on the front porch - such a quaint idea - and now you have one too!Lucky duck!Your house is beautiful. It's still quite cold here but our clocks go forward tonight so an extra hour of daylight as from tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be sitting on your beautiful porch and enjoying the spring weather. I'll bring the iced tea and cookies.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful swing you have on your porch. It's very dark and cold here in Northern California. Rain is headed our way, but we need it. Enjoy your weekend.

As always, a great picture. Your house is so beautiful and its gotta feel great to be restoring a piece of history. My day, not sure what the weather was as we were "slammed" at my store, Country Roads. I will take "slammed" any day.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Sue
It was cold and dreary here today....after 2 weeks of 80+ degrees and sunshine! Michigan at it's craziest, that's for sure, Anne! But I was blessed to be able to get all of my outside work completed! Yay!

Anne- It was a beautiful day here in Oregon also.. Really gives me the spring bug. I am a new vendor at a new store called Not to Shabby. I have dreamed of doing this for sometime and finally took the leap. Will sat up next weekend. Post pics soon.. Look forward to each post you post! Blessings Pam
ReplyDeleteWhere a bit behind you here in Idaho...nothing green as yet. But it was a beautiful spring day here. I love your porch... have always loved porches. We have a full porch on the front and the back of our house...we can get sun/shade.. wind/or out of wind one or the other. We've had more compliments on our house because of the porches than any other reason. I agree... that does look like spirea.. or Bridal Wreath as I knew it to be called.
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely porch! My Saturday is really lovely. Just a nap and hanging out with kids!
ReplyDeleteI love popping over to check out your blog. And yes, it's chilly here on the CA Central Coast but spending Saturday driving my New White VW Bug!
ReplyDeleteWe are having beautiful weather here in Provence. Sunny, almost 85 yesterday and NO wind....perfect brocante shopping weather!

ReplyDeleteWe are just moving away from that unseasonably warm weather here in the Chicago region - crisp, and much cooler since we got a spring storm. Today it will be sunny & warm - great for all the gardening I need to do after I finish this second cup o' coffee. ;)
It's a beautiful day in San Diego too. Love your front porch and the swing is just perfect. Have a relaxing day!

It has been beautiful, then today was overcast and last night it POURED. Tonight it is supposed to drop below freezing again, and only be in the 40s and 50s during the week. The news weatherman even suggested covering some the delicate plants that have come back to life after winter.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
