Beautiful Saturday

All over Facebook,
my friends are posting about what
a gorgeous day it is in their neck of the woods.

Same here!
Here's the view from my front yard...

My front porch.
The entire exterior of the house is due to be re-painted
this Summer, with the gingerboard trim restored
to its former glory. I can't wait!

How is your beautiful Saturday shaping up
out there in blogland? :-)

  17. As always, a great picture. Your house is so beautiful and its gotta feel great to be restoring a piece of history. My day, not sure what the weather was as we were "slammed" at my store, Country Roads. I will take "slammed" any day.

    Take care,

  20. Where a bit behind you here in Idaho...nothing green as yet. But it was a beautiful spring day here. I love your porch... have always loved porches. We have a full porch on the front and the back of our house...we can get sun/shade.. wind/or out of wind one or the other. We've had more compliments on our house because of the porches than any other reason. I agree... that does look like spirea.. or Bridal Wreath as I knew it to be called.

  31. Pretty blooms on a pretty porch!

We are just moving away from that unseasonably warm weather here in the Chicago region - crisp, and much cooler since we got a spring storm. Today it will be sunny & warm - great for all the gardening I need to do after I finish this second cup o' coffee. ;)

  34. It has been beautiful, then today was overcast and last night it POURED. Tonight it is supposed to drop below freezing again, and only be in the 40s and 50s during the week. The news weatherman even suggested covering some the delicate plants that have come back to life after winter.
    Hugs,
