A Teaser...

My new front door...
It comes with its own skeleton key.

Seriously....
could I have designed this any better if I tried ?

We did the walk through today, it all looks good!
Now, if the bank can just get their ducks lined up, we'll sign the papers Friday.

I took 75 pics today of the empty house,
and I promise to post most if not all of them before the end of the week.
Be sure to take the tour on my sidebar to tide you over until then.

You want another teaser?

You see these killer signs on our barns?

They're all staying!!!
Somebody pinch me, I thought for sure
the owner would be taking these babies with him.

Squeeeee!!!!

I love the signs on the barn! I collect antique signs. The Fairfield House came with a huge ring of skeleton keys -- one for each of the doors in the house! Yes, we use them all. It's the only way to lock the doors. So happy for you!

First and gorgeous house, then I see it has property...and now a skeleton key with a super gorgeous glass door knob?? Too much, girl...just too much.

Thats it. I'm packin' my bags and movin' to Texas. Anything in the 'hood' for sale?? ;o)

I am a good neighbor that will mow your lawn while you are away and bring you treats when you are sick. Really. I am a good neighbor.

  79. What a door!! Our old farmhouse came with a wonderful door, too, but for weather proofing to prevent cold Kansas, winter winds coming through, and for safety's sake, we had to put up a "real" door with good lock on it. I saved the old door and used it at the top of the stairway, though. I just love it, and am sorry it wasn't practical for the front of the house. I hope you get to keep yours there!!
