My new front door...
It comes with its own skeleton key.
Seriously....
could I have designed this any better if I tried ?
We did the walk through today, it all looks good!
Now, if the bank can just get their ducks lined up, we'll sign the papers Friday.
I took 75 pics today of the empty house,
and I promise to post most if not all of them before the end of the week.
Be sure to take the tour on my sidebar to tide you over until then.

ReplyDeleteAnne,
ReplyDeleteI love the signs on the barn! I collect antique signs. The Fairfield House came with a huge ring of skeleton keys -- one for each of the doors in the house! Yes, we use them all. It's the only way to lock the doors. So happy for you!

Deborah

Your're so excited-I guess it's like waiting for Santa Clause! I'm sure it will all go smoothly and Friday will be here before you know it.

Anne,
ReplyDeleteBe careful showing those signs, you will have American Pickers, knocking on your door! Great, exciting time for you.
Debbie
What a door!! Our old farmhouse came with a wonderful door, too, but for weather proofing to prevent cold Kansas, winter winds coming through, and for safety's sake, we had to put up a "real" door with good lock on it. I saved the old door and used it at the top of the stairway, though. I just love it, and am sorry it wasn't practical for the front of the house. I hope you get to keep yours there!!
ReplyDeleteyou must be so excited! how wonderful to see it all empty and start from scratch!! have fun and don't work too hard! sending you hugs!! susan
