Happy Monday!
Firstly, thanks so much to each and every one of you who wished me a
Happy Birthday!
It was a great birthday weekend, but now it's back to the business of blogging.
I still have so many images to share from my fabulous time spent at Antique Week
in Round Top / Warrenton,
so without further ado, please allow me to present the Bedding Queen of Warrenton,
the lovely Gloria of The Sweet Pea Collection.
Last month I was fortunate enough
to spend a bit of time in Gloria's divine space,
to spend a bit of time in Gloria's divine space,
and once again, she did not disappoint.
I can't recall just how many times I stopped and said to myself,
"Wow...I've never seen that before!"
She is a true original and an innovator of the highest order.
And you can bet that when it comes time to purchase bedding
for our new home (which will be soon!),
for our new home (which will be soon!),
Miss Gloria will be getting a phone call from yours truly.
So please, pull up a chair, and enjoy the magnificent
Never mind the crazy chick in the mirror.
With Gloria around, there's absolutely no excuse
for ever having an ugly buggy liner again!
for ever having an ugly buggy liner again!
Gloria, if you're reading this, this pale green bedding
leaves me absolutely weak in the knees, *sigh*.
The way she incorporates natural elements into her displays is positively ingenious.
This!
The honeycombs as plates...I've never seen anything like this before. Creative genius.
Isn't she amazing?
And remember, if you're ever up near the Dallas area,
Gloria is also the mastermind behind the cutting edge, concept antique mall,
so be sure to pay her a visit.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the Monday morning eye candy! What fabulous displays! Her bedding is amazing as is her merchandising!!
ReplyDeleteTake care, Sue
It's all just yummy, but I think the brown floral print is my favorite, AND I'll take that gorgeous white mirrored armoire too please!!
ReplyDeletetalk soon,
xoxo,
D
I'm speachless! The lady has talent for sure!!!! It must have taken forever to set up that booth. I don't know how you were able to drag yourself out of her showroom.
ReplyDeleteTalent seems to be an understatement here. I think I would have parked myself on that bed all night just to wake up and say no it wasn't a dream.
ReplyDeleteLittle Gloria is going to be so happy when she sees this. Did you not just love the grass growing thru the floor? One of her favorite things in the world is nature so it's only fitting for her to have it underfoot.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
P.S. Change "our" to "my" and you've got Gloria's philosophy!
Anne ~ did I wish you a happy birthday yet? I think so, but JIC...Happy birthday! These photos are gorgeous. That bedding is just divine. Can't wait to see more photos of your new abode, perhaps with a beautiful "gloriafied" bed? ~ Angela

I'm so glad you took so many pictures and have been spreading them out- its so much fun to go back and remember all the great stuff we saw. The bedding was decadent, but what I really remembered was that grass coming up through the cracks and the honeycomb placemats.
ReplyDeleteI don't know where to start?! I love the nests and the honeycombs. I love bringing nature inside. My favorite bedding is the steel gray and the last brown floral with the velvet pillows...I am ready to take a nap there! I can almost feel it! Great photos. Were you sitting down on the job? lol Love the pic with the grass coming up through the floor boards. Really gorgeous post.

ReplyDeleteThanks for asking about the pregnant lady :) Doing pretty good still...I think the vomiting has passed :) But I never mind that....just a friendly hello from the babe. I only threw up waith Annie out of the other 3...so who knows maybe SHE is giving me a hint :) I never find out until they come though...I am the kind who likes torture :)

I would never get out or off of that bed in the first picture! How cool is that! A place of respite and pure laziness! Also love the dark brown and light blue bedding. Sooooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteTell me the name of that warty green fruit. When I lived in Virginia I used to collect it from the roadside and take it home as a display. But you cannot cut them up. They are soooo sticky! I think they were called "something" apples. Can't remember. Do you know the name??
Thanks for sharing!
