Fairy Blogmothers Revisited....

They don't have magic wands...

They don't sprinkle fairy dust...

And they usually don't run around saying things like
bibbity, bobbity boo
{unless they've had one too many, if ya get my drift}

But they are always there in a pinch

to offer a kind word

and support

to encourage

and to inspire.

Say hello to Fairy Blogmother #1, Dawn Edmonson of The Feathered Nest

Dawn came to my rescue recently to help with a top-secret project
that I'm just bursting to share with you
{but can't for a little while longer}.

She's been there since day one, and if not for her,
my lowly little blog might have never found an audience.

Same thing with Fairy Blogmother #2, Theresa Cano of Garden Antqs Vintage

Back when I started my blog,
I didn't know any better than to have
unbridled chutzpah, so I mailed Theresa to say
"Hey, take a look at my blog and see what you think!"

Had I known then what a big whoop she really is, I would have been
far too intimidated to ever make such a request!

But over the past year and a half,
I've come to know that she's every bit as generous and kind
as she is talented. After all, there's a reason she's called Sweet T!

And this coming week, I'm headed to the
in Driftwood, Texas to photograph Theresa
and the other amazing dealers set up at the big show.

Come join us!

Fairy Blogmothers.

Both of mine have always been there to leave a kind comment,
or promote my latest giveaway, or introduce me to a wider audience.

I'll bet you have one or two, if you stop and think about it.
Those folks who have gone above and beyond in helping you along the way
as you enter the big, scary world of blogdom.

Who are your  Fairy Blogmothers?
Think about it, and give them a great big old cyber hug today!

Happy Weekend!

  24. Anne,
Great post. Where would we be without our fairyblogmothers? Not blogging that's for sure. It is so important for all bloggers to encourage people just starting out. It's pretty darn intimidating to put it all out 'there' & having support from great ladies like Dawn & Theresa makes all the difference in the world. Your a bit of a blog mother yourself my friend! Lisa
PS I remember when Dawn introduced you on her blog. Wow, time flys.

  32. Hello Anne, I deleted my earlier comment, it just didn't sound right to me... three of my Fairy Godmothers who have been with me since almost my first posts are sweet Tracie from My Petite Maison (who referred me to you!), dear Janet from Shabbyfufu and darling Alice from Painted White... these ladies have given me so much inspiration from their blogs, their shops, and encouraging comments they leave on my blog... I too adore ALL blogger ladies!... Fun post!... xoxo Julie Marie

  33. This was the sweetest post! Dawn's was the first blog I ever bookmarked and read daily. I found your blog through her announcement :) I followed you both for ages and now that I have my own blog you both come and comment and lift me up. I love it. You are two of MANY fairy blogmothers I have right now - so blessed by all the veteran bloggers who follow, comment and email me. I can't list them all but know I am extremely grateful!((HUGS)) I hope to return the favor someday.

  34. Everyone is a fairy blogmother to me - all so kind and generous in their comments. I get so excited when I see that I have one!
I, unfortunately, could be termed as a 'fairly absent blogmother'. I am never consistent with my posts or comments but I am trying. One day I hope to rise to the ranks of blogdom and become a real blogmother. Just a little more practice and I should be ready in a few years! Any tips? Have a great weekend.

  43. Having SweetT introduce on her blog was a huge boost for me...otherwise I'd still be sitting and waiting for that first comment. Those that started leaving comments at the first and are now friends (they know who they are) kept me motivated to continue.
    Debbie
P.S. I got an inkling/hunch as to what the big surprise is!
P.P.S. When you say SweetT, you gotta say it fast just like we say it when ordering a glassful in a restaurant!

I am sooo new to all of this and you have been so kind and encouraging as so many other bloggers out there have been as well. Talk about meeting the nicest people, and who would think it would be in blogland.
