BRANCHING OUT

Inspired by displays and vignettes seen in Warrenton,
I headed down to the booth today to play.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating...click pics to enlarge!

Take a few willow branches...

Pages from an old book take the place of leaves...

Just branching out and trying something different!

Unrelated to that, have you shopgirls and booth owners
ever purchased something intended for the store,
only to fall in love with it yourself? (raising my hand!)

Meet the latest object of my affection...

Oh yeah...I can hear ya swooning from here.

I couldn't bear to take it to the booth, can ya blame me?

Have a great night and a terrific week!

  15. Too funny! I am having my hubby paint a 6-drawer dresser. I picked it up for my booth but for now I am going to use it in the kitchen next to my desk to organize myself! When we have room at the booth I "plan" on moving it in to sell but I really needed something to contain the mess at home! We shall see if it every makes it out of the house! Shhhh don't tell Mr. Smith!

The family and I went for a walk tonight to get some manzanita branches so I can use in the booth. I bought a cool looking urn at a garage sale this weekend that I want to use as a display! I was going to paint the branches white too! I never thought of hanging book pages! I was planning on hanging up men's collars and cuffs(saw that idea somewhere too)!

    Thanks for sharing,
    Jody

    Love that cabinet!

Thanks for visiting my blog and to answer your question on what kind of branches I used for my hankie tree, I used birch that I sprayed lightly with off white spray paint.

Love your page tree. I may have to try that one next !!

  27. Your willows with old pages are adorable. Your cabinet reminds me of the one my parents had. My brother still has it and my sister-in-law keeps her collection of teapots and cups in it. I love looking at yours. Have a great week.

  28. I'd keep that too! And I like the "leaves" idea! Hmmm....I'm seeing other things possibly displayed on those branches too! Branches hung horizontally even! I think you're onto something!

  30. Shopgirls and booth owners became shopgirls and booth owners to keep goodieA at home until goodieB replaces goodieA, and then goodieA can go to the shop or booth to be sold so goodieC can be purchased... It's the new math. Brilliant. :)

    Love the willow tree display.

  35. Hi Anne! Great seeing you Sunday! We are headed over to the estate sale to load up my remaining room of mystery. I love the branches, and the cabinet. My favorite thing is the house. It is a dream. I'm not familiar with prices in that area, but I'm sure they are pretty steep compared to my area. I'll send photos as soon as I get things sorted out. Soon...Susan

  43. Great cabinet and I would be tempted to keep it myself. I buy things all the time for my shop and then decide I can't part with it. I made a deal with Hubby...for everything that stays I will take something from our home to the shop. I live with something for a few months and then decide if I really love it.
