A Game Changer


It is a term defined as
something that happens
within the course of events
 that has the possibility
of turning
everything
all around.

a change of plans

a re-direction

something surprising
or
even unexpected


sometimes necessitating 
taking to the
root
of previously existing
plans
or goals...

and
chipping  away


giving up on what we thought we needed,
and starting over, if need be.

This isn't your standard New Year's reflection post...

I've had an honest-to-goodness
game changer
occur today.

Something that has prompted me to value 
life 
a little bit more

value those I  
love 
a little bit more


and to re-evaluate my hopes, dreams and ambitions
and to hold them up in the light of  
God's will 
for my life.



I am at a crossroads...
as are we all, in one way or another...
whether we realize it or not.

And so I wait.
I sit and listen, as the game plan remains a mystery.

But this I know...

I have a wonderful  *Coach.




"For I know the plans I have for you,"
declares the  *Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you a hope and a future..."

Your post spoke to me because I am going through some personal reevaluation about my walk with God and complacency in my life... and I love where you said "giving up on what we thought we needed and starting over if need be" and reevaluating hopes and dreams and giving them to God...

    I don't know what you're dealing with but please know you and Mr. Twig are in my prayers. I have experienced some pretty difficult things and that's when the Lord is closest. You clearly have a lot if support here to lean on. And more importantly you have your faith in Jesus. That verse you quoted will bring you the strength you need.   89. This post is touching my heart and just to say it is God's will. We dont always understand and some changes make us truly hurt but in the end you will see. It may take more time and we as humans lack patience. But hang onto your faith and if you are lacking in faith at times, this is a good time to rekindle it.

    God has a way of putting a stop to the directions we are heading. I was stopped in my tracks for almost 3 years. He had something he wanted to say to me and I was not listening. He now is letting go of the ropes some and letting me get my feet wet again but he still is holding the rope with a firm grip.

    He has a way of getting our attention. Keep the lord first in your life and he will direct your path.
