All Hail the Queen

Happy Monday!

Firstly, thanks so much to each and every one of you who wished me a
Happy Birthday!
It was a great birthday weekend, but now it's back to the business of blogging.

I still have so many images to share from my fabulous time spent at Antique Week
in Round Top / Warrenton,
so without further ado, please allow me to present the Bedding Queen of Warrenton,
the lovely Gloria of The Sweet Pea Collection.

Last month I was fortunate enough
to spend a bit of time in Gloria's divine space,
and once again, she did not disappoint.
I can't recall just how many times I stopped and said to myself,
"Wow...I've never seen that  before!"

She is a true original and an innovator of the highest order.
And you can bet that when it comes time to purchase bedding
for our new home (which will be soon!),
Miss Gloria will be getting a phone call from yours truly.

So please, pull up a chair, and enjoy the magnificent

Never mind the crazy chick in the mirror.

With Gloria around, there's absolutely no excuse
for ever having an ugly buggy liner again!

Gloria, if you're reading this, this pale green bedding
leaves me absolutely weak in the knees, *sigh*.

The way she incorporates natural elements into her displays is positively ingenious.

 This!
The honeycombs as plates...I've never seen anything like this before. Creative genius.

Isn't she amazing?

And remember, if you're ever up near the Dallas area,
Gloria is also the mastermind behind the cutting edge, concept antique mall,
so be sure to pay her a visit.

Have a wonderful week, more Warrenton images to come in the days ahead!

The Best Birthday Present...

...is time spent with good friends.

Of course I already know and love Jodie like a sister, but this  time,
I had the privilege of meeting The Man.

Miss Everything Vintage and her hubby
were in Fredericksburg for a big-time gathering
of Corvette couples from Louisiana this weekend,
and they had a packed itinerary...
so I consider myself super lucky to be able to spend
a bit of time with these two fabulous friends!

And they got to see the  house!

I only had my cheap point and shoot, but
Jodie snapped tons of pics with her fancy schmancy camera,
so I'm hoping to steal a few of hers once she gets 'em posted.

{hers left, mine right}

Dang, they could be brothers, couldn't they??
Well, with the exception of the chandelier growing out of Thad's head.
Her man and my man got along like a house on fire,
so I think I foresee a road trip to Cajun country in the not too distant future.

It's been a crazy hectic birthday week for me
(the actual day is tomorrow)
so I've been "doing" and "living" instead of blogging, but I have oodles of new stuff
to share in the week ahead.
So come on back!

Have a beautiful weekend!

Now Taking Donations...

It is almost my birthday week, after all.

Spotted in Warrenton two weeks ago.

The Seed Box in Warrenton

When I made my now twice-yearly trek to
Antique Week in Warrenton / Round Top
a couple of weeks back, I promised you lots of pictures.

And I am more than happy to make good on that promise with yet another
post featuring another fabulous Warrenton dealer!

Welcome to The Seed Box Antiques, Warrenton branch...

{click all pics twice to super-size}

Based in Chadwick, Missouri, Brian and Meloney Russell
are veterans of Antique Week,
yet they bring something new and fresh with each visit.

I like to call their style effortless, fresh, farmhouse chic,
and after viewing these images,
I think you will agree.

It was top priority for me to track down these innovative folks,
as I missed them the two previous times I was here...and let me tell you,
they did not  disappoint.
See for yourself...

 And this dapper gent?

That would be Brian himself, one half of the genius
behind this amazing space!
He's actually on my iPhone here
talking to  Debra of Common Ground!

To see more, please be sure to visit

And remember, there's LOTS more Warrenton pics and posts yet to come!
Yep, it's the gift that just keeps on giving.  :-)

Happy Thursday!
