An Accumulation of Riches...

That's what can be found at the completely fabulous
Accumulations Hill Country Vintage Home and Garden Fair.

I was fortunate enough to spend Friday afternoon
with some of the most talented,
genuinely nice people I've had the pleasure
of getting to know in quite some time,
the vendors for this amazing show.

As the semi-official photographer,
I snapped well over 300 images of this event,
so as you can well imagine, I'll be doing the photo editing thang
for the next several days...

But here's a sneak peek
of what you can expect to find at this incredible show...
Many more pics to come in the days ahead!

Many of the vendors are from the iconic Austin shop Uncommon Objects,
destination shopping in every sense of the word.

Truly, I can't urge you strongly enough to make the hop over to the Austin area
to shop this sale...it's just that good!

The Inside Story

I have dimpled thighs.

And some gray hairs.

My teeth would be a whole lot whiter

if I drank less Diet Coke.

And you know what else?

I have a pooch.

No, not a dog, although I do have two of those.

No, I have a tummy pooch.
No washboard abs on this girl.
Not anymore, anyway.

I am imperfect.

Flawed.

Less than ideal.

But you know what else?

I am more than the sum of my parts.
My imperfect parts, that is.

I may be imperfect, but I am perfectly so.

Perfectly Imperfect.

Just like my well-loved French pitcher,
there is a beauty to my scars.
My blemishes.
My signs of age.

A nobility to those wiry gray hairs,
and those crinkles now appearing
to frame my eyes and mouth.

As a woman, I struggle as to whether to
embrace or erase
these changes.

The culture as well as the cult of youth
encourages us to wish away
that which has been hard earned.

"How soon hath Time, the subtle thief of youth..."
{John Milton}

And yet, I know.
Oh yes, I most certainly do know...

That the measure of my worth

as a woman

and as a child of God

lies not in what the eye can see

but rather in what is hidden away from view.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret;
it is only with the heart that one can see rightly,
 what is essential is invisible to the eye.
 {Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry}

Love yourselves, imperfections and all.
Just as God does.

"So we do not lose heart.
Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day."
{2 Corinthians 4:16}

Garden Antqs Vintage at Zapp Hall

And a lovely Wednesday to all of you!
I'm in a fantastic mood, as I have four glorious,
fun-filled days off from work,
and an extra-special photo shoot planned for Friday...

I'll be headed to a sweet little spot West of Austin for the highly anticipated
Accumulations Hill Country Vintage Home and Garden Fair.
to photograph all the amazing vendors and wares.
Including my good friend Theresa Cano of Garden Antqs Vintage!

And speaking of, I have some incredible images to share
that I snapped of her space in Warrenton last month
during Antique Week.
{and here y'all thought I was finished with Warrenton posts! Not just yet!}

So grab a cup of hot tea and get comfy while I transport you to Theresa's
divine space in front of Zapp Hall...

 And here's me and all my homegirls
in front of Theresa's inspiring space...
