A Dynamic Duo

You know how they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree?
Well, believe it!

Shame on me for not knowing the dynamic mother-daughter duo of
Mickie and Brandy Shults
before I was lucky enough to meet them both this past Friday.

They are the innovative founders of the
Accumulations Vintage Home and Garden Fair,
an event I photographed just this past week,
and can also be found in Uncommon Objects in Austin.

The sale was held on their property,
and my first thought upon entering their space was
"wow, this is a photographers dream!"

Come along with me now and see just what I'm talking about...

[click pics twice to super-size]

 Say hello to Mickie...

 and Brandy!

These lovely gals aren't bloggers (shoot!), but rumor has it that they can be found next
at the Barn Chicks sale on November 13th in Cost, Texas.

I can't make it, so be sure to tell the gals hello from me!

More pics from this fantastic show still to come.
Have a wonderful evening!

Rach - I love you, but you can't have the chicken statue because your blog does not have the word rooster or chicken in it. Sorry! Anne has to fetch that for ME! lol Love these photos! They did such a great job with their displays and I'm drawn to so many things. Your photos of the chippy wicker chair with the light coming from the window and the photo of the hutch with the green buffet(?) under it were fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

Your photos show why these sellers are so good at display....makes all the difference seeing 'where do i put this?' or 'this is cool, but what do i do with it?' and ends up being 'I'll take it!'

Anne, your posts are better than any old magazine any day. Way more pictures and better shots of everything. I really feel like I'm visiting these places. I feel like I could pick up something and buy it. It's like window shopping which is probably better for me. If I went to all these places with you I'd be broke for sure.
Happy Weekend,
Valerie

Your photos are awesome. I like the angles that you use. Like the cash register photo - I would have taken it straight on, but it looks soooo much more interesting at that angle. As far as the sale - I want everything. I don't think there is one photo that I don't want at least one item from.
