Enchanting Photography Magazine

It was quite the honor
when I was recently asked by magazine editor
Sonia Cardona Crouse
if I would contribute to her absolutely stunning magazine

Sonia is also the editor of the wonderful
which I'm also proud to say that I'm
featured in the current issue.

But for Enchanting Photography,
I wanted to submit something a little different,
a little more out of my comfort zone.

As the second shooter for a dreamy bridal session
earlier this year, { thank you, AL Gawlik Photography }
I knew that Ashley's bridals would be a perfect fit.

Although I had never shot bridals before,
Ashley's effortless grace before the camera
made my job super easy.

I was thrilled when the incredible floral designer,
chose my bouquet photo above to use as her
profile photo on mega wedding site The Knot.

But let's be honest....a stunning bride like this
makes it almost impossible to take a bad picture.
While the magazine might be titled
Enchanting Photography,
I tend to believe that my subject matter
added the enchanting factor.

If you'd like to order a copy
of this lovely magazine,
please click HERE.

And I'll be back next time to share
more about my Creating Vintage Charm feature,
along with what else is new on this end.

Happy Week!

More B&B Fun...Cloud 9 Cottage!

One of my favorite type of
photo shoots to book
are bed and breakfast shoots.
There's no shortage of B&Bs
here in Fredericksburg, TX,
so I keep super busy
capturing their unique charm
for local owners year 'round.

Cloud 9 Cottage is the fourth B&B that I've
had the pleasure of shooting for owners
Matthew and Melissa Mabery.

I shared my previous shoots for these fine folks
and
and now I'm delighted to showcase
their latest fun venue,
Cloud 9 Cottage.

Too cool, right?

Sweet as Sugar...Sugarberry Inn

 So imagine a place.
Dreams are as sweet as cotton candy,
and the imagination is fueled by equal parts
elegance and whimsy.

Beds draped in decadent Bella Notte linens,
and cottages outfitted in the finest French antiques.
All in the heart of a quaint little
Texas Hill Country town,
only minutes away from exceptional dining, shopping,
wineries, and countless other amusements
and adventures.

There is such a place.
in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Now open for dreaming and discovering.

Birthed by Joe and Susan Giardina,
this labor of love enchants at every turn.
Broken up into two large suites
in the historic main house
and 10 boutique cottages,
this is a lodging experience
one will not soon forget.

Prairie Willow and Hawthorn Suites
were styled by the sublime
Carol Hicks Bolton.
The remaining 10 cottages were
styled by local design genius
Kathy Young.

I was hired to photograph pretty much
every square inch of this property,
and rather than blather on about just how remarkable
these accommodations are,
I want the images to do the talking.

 And for all the sweetness
I've shared with you here,
there is an entire confectioners wonderland
of cottage photos to be found on the
Sugarberry Inn website.

Come, visit, dream, fall in love.

A Grand Adventure

I trust you all had a happy and safe Fourth of July?

While many were out enjoying parades and cookouts,
I was happily hard at work editing my latest project,
the massive photo shoot for the divine
in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Owned by Susan and Joe Giardina-
Styled by Carol Hicks Bolton and Kathy Young-
Architectural design by Andrew Bray-
Headed for magazine features soon-
And I was the lucky gal who got to shoot it!

Just a peek...

Next Up....Sugarberry Inn!

To say that I'm excited to begin
photographing the newest Bed and Breakfast complex
here in beautiful Fredericksburg, Texas,
would be an understatement of the highest magnitude.

It's been a work of the heart
for the darling owners,
Susan and Joe Giardina.
They have taken one of our beautiful
old historic homes just off Main St.
and added an entire complex of
completely comfy, unique, quirky,
and one-of-a-kind
B&B suites which simply amaze and astound
once you get a peek inside.

These aren't your granny's B&B's...
the interior design is being done by my
supremely talented friend
as well as our mutual pal,
local design genius Kathy Young.

As for me?
I've just been the super lucky gal chosen to
photograph this local treasure!
I begin shooting this week,
but here are a couple of sneak peeks,
courtesy of Carol Bolton...

The flair found in Carol's shop,
can be found in the many unexpected,
whimsical touches in the Main House.

And Kathy has worked her magic
as well in the other cottages.

And did I mention Bella Notte Linens
in all of the suites?
Mmmmm hmmmm, this is the real deal, folks!

I'll be back with updates after
completing the first round of shooting.
I just wanted to pop in and reassure y'all
that I hadn't fallen off the face of the Earth!

Happy Week!
