I had been saving to purchase Rachel Ashwell's Studio Sweep love seats and chairs with the down fill. Sadly when she came back they weren't included. They were like a signature piece. There is a one I saw on her new site, it looks very similar, new name and much higher pricing. It's so nice to see her back though and wonderful for your friend to be selected to photo such wonderful things.

You know, Rachel is the most sincere and kind person I have ever met. I first met her in the early years, in the late 90's. She use to film in my store for the TV show she had. Always gracious, always kind. And then, after everything she went through the past year or so, she has come out even stronger. When she did her book signing in our store this past November, she sat on the table and wanted all our customers to gather round. She spoke from her heart of her boyfriend dumping her, then her mom passed away, and all the "down" moments she experienced while her attorneys fought to keep her precious name, "Shabby Chic"! I see her from time to time when she comes in to shop at my store. And never, ever does she not ask how I'm doing, how business is. Rachel is a kind and gracious woman and a role example for many of us. I think the journey she has been through has made her ever stronger! I enjoyed your post this morning, thanks.

What a wonderful tribute to both Rachel Ashwell and our beloved Lu! Wasn't this fun? For some reason I had the 25th as the last day to enter, and see from both you and Lu that it is the 30th. So ran back to change it. The books are so beautiful. I remember back in 2000 I was moving to another town. And I had a friend who envied the first Shabby Chic book. So as a gift when I left, I handed it to her. Now I don't have any myself!

Hi Anne! Blogger has been down in many parts of the Midwest today, so only able to get on in the last hour....and I had to run right over and see you! Hope the wedding was a blast! I love Rachel and understand from the shopkeeper in a little town near here that sells her books, that she has journeyed over some troubled waters recently, but made it to the shore, victorious and doing better than ever. LOVE a story like that! I would love to win either of these as I only have a couple of her older ones. I will got and visit Dusty Lu, now.....! Hope your week has started off full of sunshine for you.
