In the Loop

Ever feel like you have nothing to post about?
Yeah, me too.

I usually chalk that up to an alarming lack of imagination on my part,
because, my goodness!!!
There is SO much going on in my world,
in the world at large, and inspiration simply abounds out there in blogland.

I suppose I've fallen victim to the notion that every post
must fit a certain theme or herald some new project.

When in actuality?
The posts that I most like to read are the conversational,
day-to-day type posts that give me a peek
into your  respective worlds.

So...what's new in mine?

Oh yeah...remember that public service announcement
I got all pushy about last month?

Well, I sucked it up when it came to the fear,
kept the appointment, had the test done,
and was given good news...
no more 6 month follow-up's, I get to come back in a year!

So for all of you scaredy cat, fence straddlers,
I'm here to be all obnoxious and in your face again...
make the phone call.
stop avoiding the doctor, the tests, the pesky "what-if''s".

Trust me, not knowing and worrying is the worst part.
Just do it.

/ rant

So.
What else?

Lots of potential photo shoots on the horizon,
just no time to actually get them done.
Not yet, anyway.
I had to pass up a GREAT opportunity just this week,
but I passed it along to a wonderful photog buddy, so it's all good.

Thinking about starting a diet.
My skinny arms in that wedding pic on my sidebar?
Yeah...they ain't that skinny anymore.
I'm tall, so everyone always says incredulously,
"you don't need to lose weight".
Those folks walk away $10 richer.

Weekend plans?
Off to San Antonio for my nieces first communion.
Visit with my sweet mother-in-law from Portland.
Back home to have a girl's day out with my own mom for
Mother's Day.

Haven't turned the page on next week yet, but I'm pretty sure
it'll involve some quality time spent with
Steven Tyler on AI and Maks on DWTS.  ;-)

And you?
What's new in your world?

Anne, I'm so glad the results came back fine!!!! You are right about the waiting being the worst part. It's best to just get it done and have it behind you, than to regret it later.

Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Anne!

First of all, thank you dearly for the sweet words you left me about my article. You are sweet! I know what you mean about post topics.. sometimes I just enjoy hearing the idle talk. :)

Sounds like you have a full weekend! Let's see.. I just got a haircut (chin length & layered), have been working planting in the garden & having disagreements about it with the husband (we have compromised now).. I like order to the garden with plans, etc & he likes to make a huge mess (grrr)... but then he sheepishly admitted that he is jealous of my gardening skills! I have a final to take tomarrow which I am fearing, I ordered my first Dreamy Whites order (woo hoo!), I ordered stuff for my foyer, I am going out for diiner with the extended family Sunday, & we are finally going to have 70 degree weather here next week.. it is about time! :) Oh boy this is probably going to look so long! I hope you have a great weekend & glad you got some rain.. your rainbow pics were awesome!
Big Hugs,
Lara

I'll fight you for Steven Tyler. Did you see him in the Matt Lauer interview? Two totally different types of guys, but I'll take either one. Or both! Glad your test came back good. Enjoy your weekend!

That`s two good bits of `healthy` news today! The other one was my daughter-in-law`s MRI scan showed up nothing untoward. What a worrying time we`ve all had - we tend to take our good health for granted, don`t we? Steven Tyler sure looks healthy to me though! I love it that he`s such an old hippy! and I LOVE American Idol!Have a great weekend, Lovely Girl. x

Oh I am so glad you got back good results! After I read your last post about it, I called to get a checkup... nothing wrong, but I tend to put those things off for more fun things!

Have a wonderful weekend! I love First Communions :)

Wonderful about your good news! Nothing is more terrifying to me than waiting for test results, but the relief of knowing- no matter what the news- is better than the unknown.

Great news Anne...now one thing less to worry about. Yeah S.Tyler...so cool man cool...hippie vibe..positive...luv him. Come on by and check out my new Etsy Store. I put it up a year ago and finally got the nerve to put some actual stuff in it. more on the way. lots of work but kinda fun..love taking the pics although a big pain with point and shoot. hard to get closeups in focus of tiny lil items. Maybe I’ll make enough dough to buy a cool camera...now wouldn’t that be sweet. lots of luv, cynthia

I also gave my doctor his yearly thrill this past week. Still waiting for results...other than the smile on his face when I left.
May is always a busy, busy month here at the Casita de Trash, beginning with the oldest melonhead's b'day and ending with Memorial Day.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Anne, I too feel like I have nothing to post about at times and also chalk it up to lack of imagination (I thought I was the only one)! Thank you for making me feel better about that and for inspiring a few blog post ideas. I'll be joining you next week with DWTS and AI, I miss Casey! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your time with your Mom! ~Brooke
