Hi Anne, I'm glad you like the music. I don't think it really ads that much time to your blog loading. If you want to see how fast your blog loads go to:

and scroll almost to the end of the left column. There is a link to a site that times how fast your page loads. I think it's the second to last item. I did it 3 times. It went from 8.9 seconds to 2. 3 seconds. Once it's cached in the memory it loads faster but even for a new visitor it should take only a few seconds more. I went to a blog today that had over 150 tracks on the playlist and had no problem loading it.
To me the blogs that take the longest to load are the ones with all their posts loading. I try to keep mine between 3 to 7 posts depending on how long they are. That way it loads fast but people get to see several posts and can catch up easily if they've missed a few.
Remember to have fun, play around and see what works for you. Everyone has their own take on blogging. You're obviously doing a great job already!
