10 Reasons Why You Should Love Elizabeth...

It should be reason enough to love her because
she is beautiful, generous, talented and my friend,
but I've come up with ten reasons why, if you don't
already know and love Miss Elizabeth, you should.

Reason 1. She just received her advance copy of the
very first book she herself photographed and styled!

It's called "Quilts From the House of Tula Pink",
and her work in it is just beautiful!
Truly, there are not enough superlatives.

Beautiful and well done, my friend!
I can't wait to get my hands on a copy!

Reason 2. She has the studio to end all studios,
and was featured on the COVER of
Where Women Create, Summer 2010.
If you have the opportunity, order a back issue,
it's a feast for the eyes!

Reason 3. She captures the details of everyday beauty
like no one else...

Reason 4. Miss Thang was also featured in the
inaugural issue of Where Women Cook!

She only has the cutest little kitchen ever!

Reason 5. She believes in the principle of
paying it forward. Her generosity is legendary,
and I myself have been the recipient of her giving, selfless nature.
She is always just a phone call or a text message away,
and I owe her big-time for the calming influence she has
provided during my moments of worry and stress in recent days.

Stunning work!

Reason 6. She hangs with equally beautiful and talented women!
Left to right...
Jo Packham of Where Women Create,
The Pioneer Woman herself, Ree Drummond,
and our own sweet Elizabeth!

Reason 7. Even though she and I are roughly the same age,
she is still the person I hope to be when I grow up.
Strike that...if  I grow up.  ;-)

Reason 8.  She doesn't know just how good she really is.
That's the mark of a true artist.

Reason 9. She is one of the biggest reasons I began blogging.
Not only are her photos and styling divine, but her willingness to
share and get real are unrivaled.
See THIS post to see only one of the reasons
I admire her so.

Reason 10. E and her barber husband, Randy, are just too cute!

I could do an entire 'nother post on why you too
should love Elizabeth, but how's about you just head on
over and discover this remarkable lady for yourself?

Happy Wednesday!

I am tearing up as I write this. I am at a loss for words. You will never know or ever realize how your words (and talent) affect others in such a loving way. It is such a blessing to be honored so greatly by you with this post. God has blessed me greatly with your friendship.

With much love and admiration,
Elizabeth

11. Beyond the recognition, fame, beauty, and many, many talents...she is first and foremost a woman of God. She is never too full of herself to forget He is in control. His delight in her and her witness makes me want to stand close to her and just be. He has blessed us all with her genuine friendship and love.

She's been in the shop but unfortunately, I wasn't there but met her at an antiques show in KC -- of course, she was taking pictures. I've always loved her photography. Great post!

I had to laugh: that #9 photo you've shown here is my bedroom! Elizabeth was sleeping on my couch one weekend when she came into town to shoot my profile for Where Women Create. Carol Spinksi and I had to leave at 6 a.m. one morning to catch a flight to Austin for the Round Top show and as I tiptoed out I whispered, "Elizabeth, go get in my bed." A few months passed and then I see this beautiful picture of my bedroom on her blog! (Check out the subtitle she put with it to get a chuckle!!)

I've been a fan of Elizabeth's since I first saw her in Home Companion and in Romantic Homes. She is all that you described. I'm so happy for her success; she works hard and deserves it.

So many memories of Sweet E including holding onto a 30ft ladder for her as she climbed to the ceiling of an old barn to hang several French chandeliers. Hunting vintage with her in Round Top and the best....thinking she was going to share with me some creative thought but instead she turned around and told me she had to poop:) Always proud of her no matter what:)

Also, so proud of you Darlin Anne:)
