I'm legit now!

The card says so, so it must be true!

My business cards and my store banner arrived in the mail today,
and I'm feeling an odd mixture of glee and doom.
Is this even the least bit normal?
I mean, they actually look professional!
Yikes, people are likely to expect something from me now.

True, it's not on the level of a tent in Warrenton
or my own brick and mortar store, but it's sort of a big whoop for me.
Baby steps, I have to keep reminding myself of that.

On the agenda for this week....work my day job as an RT
at the hospital for the next three days (12 hour shifts, ugh),
Church on Sunday like the good Catholic I am,
followed by a quick trip to Trade Days in Fredericksburg.
Before ya know it, you'll be seeing my smiling face in Warrenton!

I'm not due to take over my booth until the 1st of October,
so I still have a bit of time to beef up my inventory
and brainstorm some display/vignette ideas.
Does it always feel like no matter how much time you have to prepare,
it's never enough? No? Just me? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

For all of you getting ready for the big shows in just over a week,
my thoughts and prayers are most certainly with you.
God willing, we will be sharing a tent one day in the not-too-distant future!

Happy Trails!
~ Anne

Anne, how exciting for you! I love the look of your business card. I totally understand about the mixed feelings you have. You kind of feel like you're venturing into the unknown and don't quite know what to expect. However, I am sure you will do very well. :)

Thanks for your kind comments regarding my blog!

"You've come a long way, baby"... business cards and banners. The first booth I opened I compared to giving birth. Lots of time, preparation and hard work. But oh, the rewards...(and headaches) that came with it!
You have a great sense of style and tons of creativity. I can't wait to see the baby, once it's here. And remember, it's always... "a work in progress"!

You always crack me up!!! Your business card is beautiful and you will do awesome.
Thanks for the comments about my paint job---BUT, you should see some of the other stuff I have sitting in my garage.
Here's another tip, Annie----I just got this little electric sander by black and decker called, The Mouse--well, yesterday I was in the garage singing "I'M IN LOVE" at the top of my lungs because IT IS THE GREATEST!!! My husband,of course, thinks I should be admitted to the psych unit!!! Anyways, I've had sanders before, but this one is much more manageable!!!! You have to get one. Better go as I'm doing a nightshift tonight.
Happy day and congrats on your business card--very exciting!!!

Anne, your kind words are really appreciated during this really hard time. I'm still having to pack for the shows, tonight I'm sure I'll be receiving family in from out of town, heading down tomorrow to Warrenton to try and get everything done before the funeral. This is going to be one tough weekend, please continue to keep us all in your prayers!

Thanks for visiting my site and for your comments. I used to live in Northen VA and one of my closest friends lives in Warrenton. I love Fox Den Antigue Mall there. Anyway, good for you starting a business. I felt the same way...what if people expect more than what I can deliver? It's all worked out great for me and I'm sure it will for you, too. I live in PA, now, but it's only about 2 hours away. You asked about house calls for painted furniture and I think that's doable! I am going to follow you (and I hope you do the same!) I look forward to hearing from you in the future!

Oh! You are following me! Yay! I was looking for Fiona & Twig, not Anne. Great to meet you.
