I've been experiencing a three day bout of nausea,
so I plan on spending the afternoon curled up in bed

I think the nausea is worth it if you got this camera! I must not be whining enough because I am still dreaming of a Canon Rebel T2i. Tell me Anne, why did you choose the Nikon over a Canon?

Okay, I am usually very good at not envying my peeps, but I have to confess on this one! You are one lucky gal!!! I was hinting at a real, grown up camera for Christmas, I got another point and shoot. Not quite the same as I was thinking...

YES, I KNOW that "blonde" feeling with something new. I am NOT a manual reader, but instead, an experiential learner.... and some things I intuitively "experience" faster than others! I received a camera for my b-day and am still crawling along with it. I am going to enroll in an on-line camera class that is for beginners like me. Great shots! I've been thinking about a new camera, too, but haven't started saying it out loud yet. My birthday isn't until August, so...
At least you have something to concentrate on while you are laid low. By the time you are up and about those 'blonde' moments will be forgotten in your excitement at using your new baby.
