A Whole New World

Faithful friend, you have served me well....

You opened up a whole new world to me

You've taken me places I've never been

And shown me things I've never seen

You've helped me see old things in a new light

And you've opened up a world of possibilities to me.

Thank you, my trusty Canon Power Shot A1100 IS!
All the shots you've seen in this post were taken
with my Canon point and shoot,
aided and abetted by photo editing courtesy of yours truly.

Since my POST from two days ago asking for camera advice,
I've narrowed it down to two choices...

The previously mentioned Nikon D5000 and now the Canon Rebel XSi.

I never knew when I started blogging almost 9 months ago
that I would fall in love with photography to the extent that I have.
I knew that I loved writing more than life itself,
but this whole new, beautiful world as viewed through the lens
has been a huge, unexpected, glorious surprise to me.

I love what I see through the viewfinder,
and can't wait to take it to the next level.

Thanks for looking!
Happy Tuesday!

I knew you were talking about a camera! I too have fallen in love... with my camera. I bought myself a used Rebel xti last year and I'm very happy with the pictures it produces. I think its all about the lenses.

Is that your Siberian Husky? I have one, too! Her name is Banshee Wayne. Aren't they the sweetest animals? I love mine dearly.

happy shopping! I can't wait to see what you get!

Beautiful pictures!! Hubby has a Cannon Elon ( big sicker, non digital...but loves it and it takes gorgeous pictures...he needs a class about lens use though...since he bought the next size lens up, he wants to use it all the time, and I keep telling him he can't, it is for more far away things or for images that you want to blur out certain things to just focus on one. He's still learning...but hey what do I know I use a kodak easy share digi...but it also takes great shots.

Great photos. Nothing could be more true than how the world changes when viewed through the lens of a camera. Good luck in deciding which one to buy. My first major camera was a canon rebel slr, now I have 3 nikons, not sure why the switch, but they are all great...so was the canon.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Take Care, Carrie

Hi Anne! I love the photos. Since I have started blogging I have paid more attention to architectural details than in the past. Isn't that weird or what? I was blessed to get an early Mother's Day present from my boys last Saturday, a Kodak Easy Share M550. I'm loving it! They felt sorry for me because my other camera was so old that my computer wouldn't even pull the pictures off anymore with XP! Thanks for the comments you leave on my blog. Have a good week and keep posting those great pics!

Anne ~ To think it was our dear Sasha that lead me to your blog....I just love it: your words, your images....it's all lovely. Thank you so much for the kind comments that you left on my last post. I wrote it to give comfort to my dad and daughter, but it has been the extraordinary words of other bloggers that have brought the most solace to them. I wish I could give you advice on cameras, but I am taking baby steps in that department....and loving an outlet for the beauty that I want to capture, beyond words. My husband gave me a Sony DSLR for my b-day and so far, I really like it. xx P&H
