Macro Magic

I recently gifted myself with a macro camera lens,
and I've been having all sorts of fun this past week
playing with it.

It was a used lens, so it didn't cost me a bundle,
but having a macro sure does open up
a whole new world of creative possibilities.

You might not be able to tell,
but each of these objects I've photographed
using the new macro lens
are teeny tiny....REALLY small.

Which makes the clarity all the more impressive.
Yep, a good investment I think.

So ya see,
sometimes when you get up close, really close,
you see things more clearly.

Other times though,
stepping back and walking away
is what it truly takes to put it all in perspective.

See you all later in the week,
and wishing my best friend Tom a very
Happy Birthday Week!

XO,

Hi Anne,

My awesome husband got me a whole slew of stuff about 6 months ago. He gifted me with a new Canon Rebel T2i, and all kinds of lenses (including a macro), filters, flashes, etc. I'm still in the learning phase, but I'm looking forward to taking a class on how to fully use all the goodies. He then bought a Canon Rebel T3i when he was overseas in the Philippines for a song, so now we have two. I wish I already had your talent, but thankfully I can use your inspiration.

Hugs,
Meri

You are so very right, Anne. It's amazing to me how differently we look at the not only the small things in life, but life in general when we see God's treasures up close and personal. Loved these photos! Beautiful!

Girl, I don't a clue when it comes to lenses...macro or contact, but I do know if you plan on taking any photos of me...leave the macro off. Man-alive...that things shows every little freckle!

What beautiful pictures! It's amazing the detail of something so small & overlooked at times. Kinda sounds like us as people, you know. Thankfully our Creator has the greatest lens and has fashioned us with incredible detail.
Please stop by & visit me if you get a chance. I love guests & chats over the cyber fence!! Hope you have a sweet summer day~ Mrs.Clark
