Refreshed!

Ahhhhhhh.....

You hear that sound?
That is the contented sound of a
well-rested blogger.

I just completed a full month without blogging,
and I have to say, it felt pretty terrific.
While this might not seem like much of a break to some,
I had been a slave to posting at least a few times each week
for almost three years, so the blogging sabattical
did me a world of good.

I worked on magazine and website photo shoots,
spent precious time with friends and family,
and rediscovered an enthusiasm for
creativity which I thought I had lost.

The blogging world kept turning in my absence,
and all is right with the world.

:-)

Now on to my featured topic today...
the dreamy vintage shop located
right here in Fredericksburg, Texas,

Skye and Henry's has it all...

custom bedding, linens and window treatments
French soaps, lotions and spa treatments
Plush towels, bathrobes and nightgowns
Antique chandeliers and lamps
French antiques, and so much more.

Come on in!

Pay beautiful proprietor
Margo Anderegg a visit!
Skye and Henry's
244 West Main St
Fredericksburg, Texas 78624

It's great to be back!

That shop is gorgeous! I love the paper topiary and the shoe pin cushions so much!

I started feeling like a slave to my blog but recently have given myself permission to not post if I didn't have anything to say. Amazing how that lightened the weight on my shoulders!

HI Anne, lovely post. I'm glad you feel refreshed. I think it is important to take breaks. blogging is wonderful but I have had to keep it in perspective this year as well. I want to live my life and if I can blog about it then great, but I'm not living to blog...
I do love a good post though about pretty white bedding like you just showed. I'm thinking Christmas, white, new look for the bedroom....or at least a switcher during the winter season. Hope your weekend is wonderful!
Blessings,
Debbie

Anne, so glad to see this pop into my email today. Was beginning to worry about you a wee bit! I can see that a trip to Fred'burg is in my near future. A LOT of shopping expected! Remind me, if possible, what was the name of the place where you have your goodies ? I want to hit that sweet spot, too.

So glad you're rested up and willing to provide us with all your new and exciting adventures!

Each photo is lovely. I am in love with the white comforter on the bed and tons of other things in the shop. Fredricksburg is high on my list of places I want to visit. I think we have to drive and not fly so I can bring things home.
