Adding Insult to Injury....

Take a look at what I did late this afternoon...

Nooooo, I didn't glue candy hearts to my tootsies!
That's Photoshopped due to my fugly, non-pedicured foot.

See the middle toe? The pretty shades of red and gray?
Yep, I broke it. Either that or a really bad fracture.
It hurts like the dickens, and is still swelling up and getting darker by the hour. Smashed it into the corner of one of our armoires on my way to the closet.

Gads, I must really like you people to plaster a pic of my reptilian foot up there for the world to see!  ;-)

I just love you Anne, I can't believe you hurt your toe... you were already feeling bad and everything. I hope it isn't broke. Take care of those tootsies:)

Oh Anne sweetie...
I am sending kisses for your boo-boo. Sweetie you may just have broken it. You are going to be hobbling for awhile it seems. Please take care of yourself. Even our little tootsies need protection. Where were your little slippers?

Try to have a better day today sweetie. Keep us posted. Ice and staying off of it may be all they can do. When I broke my little toe, they taped it to the one next to it, but basically did nothing for me. It hurt like the dickens for weeks.

Country hugs sweetie from Country Wings in Phoenix. Love, Sherry

Ooo, Anne, I cringed reading this post. That must of hurt so badly. Your poor toe. But, I must say, the candy heart pedicure is super-cute! LOL

Dang, I know that hurt as I've done it myself. Someone is trying to tell you to slow down. Let others do the fetching for you and take it easy for a while. Love the photoshop effect and your sense of humor!

Girl, I have done the exact same thing and there is absolutely nothing they can do for it, broke toe or not. It hurts so bad makes you want to say tons of words :) at anybody you see that comes in your path. I feel for you because I know the pain!

Come on, you just wanted a second virtuell get-well-cake ... ;-)! You poor thing, as the sinus headaches wouldn't have been enough! I know how that hurts because one of my toes had met with a dresser foot some weeks ago. It got blue and purple. Hopefully yours is not broken!
Hugs,
Julia

Don't you hate that? Nothing can make me say a dirty word faster than my toes "finding" the edge of a piece of furniture in the dark. Hope your toe heals quick.

I can sympathize with ya, I've broken the same toe twice over the years, and you're right, it does hurt like the dickens!!! You really do have a new appreciation for each and every one of those toes and how necessary they are to walking right after you break one!

Feel better soon Anne...

i thought they were stubbie fingers, but then i am old, blind and used to be blonde .. so what do i know ..

love you .. i know no remedies for stubbed toes, other than give yourself plenty of clearance around furniture and that wouldn't happen .. but you are a junker/hoarder/picker .. so i know there is not an inch of room to spare ..

trying to prolong helping with the packing .. if i am over here typing fast and furious i look busy ..

Ditto the ouch here! I've had broken toes. Not much fun, especially in winter when you want to wear real shoes. Hope it feels better soon!

Malisa said...

Bless your heart! My suggestion is to get out the flip flops or some open toe slip on. Hope it quits throbbing soon!

Anne, I can't believe this happened to you on top of not feeling well! But you have spirit...instead of going to bed and putting the pillows over your head, you soldier on! My little Maya would want so much to come and hug you...she has a very tender heart and loves to hug the wounded. I really mean it when I say GET WELL SOON!

Gurl, your toes look great compared to my little fat weenies. BUT, you can take full advantage of being 'lame'. I say chill a glass, sit on your tuffett and ring a bell for service! too bad we don't have OSHA for junkers and creatifs! ox RICE..rest, ice, cosmos, etc....

Debra@CommonGround said...

I'm like Troy, I thought those were stubby fingers, but I see they are just 4 inch toes. You know the doctors have cute little sandal shoes for this problem. I do love the Valentine hearts, I need those myself. Haven't polished my toes for a while.
Can you wear fuzzy slippers to work? Hope that it heals up quick!
love ya, sweetie,
Debra

Are you kidding? This is the perfect place to confess your idiosyncracies! Did I not just write a post about going to the doctor because my toilet was dirty? I hope you are able to get around! Foot pain is REALLY bad. Love the pedicure, though!

Maybe you were still loopy from all that medicine you've been on. You poor thing! I know that has to hurt -- and shoes will definitely be a problem. Aren't you still home recuperating from the other crud? I do hope all parts are in working order soon. I see you are having fun with photoshop. :) Blessings, Tammy
