Silver Sunday at Fiona and Twig

As a salve to my woundedness, a healing balm applied as a remedy for not being able to attend the estate sale from Heaven yesterday, I simply had to purchase this divine vintage hairbrush discovered in a local antique shop late yesterday afternoon...

Gorgeousness, right?

I've placed my Etsy Shop in Vacation Mode until I get back from Warrenton, but this little beauty will be for sale in my Etsy next month!

Be sure to visit Beth at Gypsy Fish Journal, our lovely hostess for Silver Sunday!

Enjoy the lovely Spring sunshine!

I was going to say Gorgeous! but to keep from being a copy cat, I'll just say something like...scrumptious. Yea! That's what it is. I love it!

Those little birds are too sweet! I feel your pain about missing that sale... wow that must have been spectacular! When I miss something like that I tell myself things like 'I;m sure everything is overpriced anyway...' that usually takes the sting out a little! Have fun in Warrenton, wish I was there! Theresa

I really like the hairbrush. I usually grab them up when I see them, that is, if, I can afford the price!
I have a set that I found at church sale and posted about it too for SS.

I also have one in my etsy shop too! Great minds, think alike.

Hugs
Sissie

I love the hairbrush because I love all things with bird decor. What a good find! I have a set on my bathroom counter but not with birds.

I feel so bad for you, dear Anne. Kept from enjoying yourself at that estate sale yesterday. I feel your pain.

I've been busy as a beaver over here, and can't wait to have all my girlfriends join me for The Birthday Tea Party! See you tomorrow.

xoxo

Hi Anne! That is a beauty. I remember my Grandmother having lots of silver hairbrushes. Wonder what happened to them . . .

I'll have to keep watch on your shop for it's debut. ;o)

Do you not wonder about the lady who owned such an exquisite piece?
How something we often do without thinking...brushing our hair takes on an almost ritualistic quality when you have something so elegant to use.
I love the everyday elegance that women exuded in bygone eras.

I will be praying for you!
Have an Amazing time at Warrenton!
Love ya dear friend...donna

That is by far the most gorgeous silver hair brush I've ever laid eyes on. Can't believe you're not keeping it! We had 2 hours to scramble and get walls and furniture in the new space today. I'll be heading back to do more tomorrow. There are piles of smalls in both booths that I have to sort thru and then arrange. Where are you? I need my Annie here!
I'll call you when I come up for air!! Great treasure map!
love ya,
D
