Lush Embellishments

Those of us who sell, whether it be online or in an actual brick and mortar shop, know the value of presentation.
It's an art, really, and it can make or break your reputation as a merchant.

When I began selling on ETSY last year, I quickly learned that to be successful when sending out orders, you need to do more than just slap some bubble wrap around your trinkets and toss some tissue paper in randomly.
I mean, that would be serviceable enough, but would it be memorable? Would it motivate a customer to not only leave you glowing FEEDBACK, but also to be a repeat buyer?

You see, I'm not only a seller, but I too am frequently a customer! And believe you me, I take note when a seller goes that extra mile to make sure that their orders are sent out not only quickly and safely, but also with a bit of flair as well.

Meet Kelli from
Seasonal Delights on Etsy.

Pink Toile Eiffel Tower Gift Tags
from
Seasonal Delights
Vintage Inspired Paper Goods

Aren't these just lovely?
Wouldn't they add that extra oomph to your vintage pretties?
I sure do think so, which is why I've become a HUGE fan of Kelli's Etsy Shop of late.

She not only has a huge assortment of gift tags, but stickers, gift bags, bookmarks, greeting cards, ribbon trim and gift tag sets, adorned journals, muslin favor bags, stationery sets, garland banners, scrapbook embellishment kits, and much, much more!

I've begun sending my Etsy Orders out with Kelli's beautiful tags and stickers attached, and the response has been incredible.
Enough talking, here's a peek at what you can find in the
Seasonal Delights Etsy Shop.

Pretty nifty stuff, huh?
Pay Kelli a visit at her ETSY Shop soon, I'm sure you'll be able to find something you just can't live without!

Kelli also has a wonderful blog,
There Is No Place Like Home .
Head on over and say hi!

Next post, breaking news on my booth situation! It's good!

Have a great weekend!

Hello Anne and you hit the nail on the head for sure. I always make sure my packages go out beautifully wrapped so when they are received, they are like a gift from above. She has great tags and while I make tags myself, I love to buy them too. I am off to have a look, Char

You are so right about the art of presentation. When I sold on Ebay and even at the local Craft Fairs that I do, I wrap everything in pretty tisse paper, add a cute little freebie of sort sort and a hand written Thank you card! It does go a long way and I do remember the sellers i buy from who go that extra mile!

I try to send my packages quickly and wrapped nicely, but I haven't posted any feedback as a seller. I need to go to Etsy right now and find out how.
Thanks for making me pay more attention! And, I can't wait to check out Kelli's shop

Oh Anne...what perfect timing this post was for me!

I just this morning put a deposit on a 100 square foot space at an antique mall that is jopening later in the Spring here in my little town! I can't believe it!

Like you, I'm just starting to sell, but I've been a BUYER for more years than I care to admit...ha! Packaging and Presentation IS EVERYTHING. My mind is buzzing with ideas.

Any words of wisdom you have for me would be appreicated and I'm going over to that great etsy shop now!

Best,

Cori

That's one thing that's been holding me back in opening my etsy shop, so I'm glad you've addressed it. I could start today if I didn't care about presentation and the nicer touches. I want mine to be just right, so I'm not opening until I have my plan! Thanks!

Kelli was the first blog I ever visited and that is what started me. Hers was also the first etsy shop that I ever purchased from. Her tags are so sweet and everyone notices them when I give a gift. Go and see everybody!

I have been working on an Etsy shop and I'm glad to read your thoughts on presentation when sending a purchase. I have been collecting tissue paper and ribbons and trying to come up with a wrapping plan. Love those tags, might have to invest in some of them.

Anne, I agree. Service and presentation are everything! I think the packaging makes a lasting impression. Too many venders these days don't pay attention to that small detail. We have a local shop who gift wraps everything in a beautiful box with satin ribbon embossed with the store's name. I know it must be an expense for this shop keeper. No matter if one spends $10 or $1000's of dollars, the package leaves the store looking the same. I love to buy gifts at this shop for that very reason. Love these tags. I'm headed over to check out this site now. Thanks for sharing.

Anne you are so right about what it feels like to get an order and have it wrapped up with some pretty 'extras'. A few months ago I ordered something from Alice W. and it was such a small order, but when I got it, she had put so many lovely extras in that I thought there must be some mistake. But then you have to know Alice to know that it's just her generous soul, but it had a huge impact on me. I think presentation is everything.

They really are beautiful! Trouble is as a reasonably high volume ebay seller (sorta!) I do find it very hard to find the time to tissue wrap, write little notes etc. But I do think one of these little tags would do the trick!

How sweet of you to plug a fellow esty gal. I had never heard of her and because of you...I ran over there and started drooling imidiately! She has wonderful stuff and you are so right about "presentation is everything"...I think that is my motto...I say it in my head constantly when displaying. I always try to look at the finished product thru the customers point of view.
Hope your day is wonderful!
